Entre_Perpetuo
Wow...that's way too young. She had such a wonderful voice.
Principled Man
This is shocking news. I bought many of the Cranberries' albums. Some of their stuff was great, other stuff not so much. Her voice was definitely an acquired taste. She was definitely original!
invisible airwave
Those songs take me back to junior high when I got into the alt rock of the 90s on KROQ. Just listened to former VH1 VJ John Fugelsang interview her on his Sirius XM talk show a few months ago. RIP

Principled Man
Their 1999 live perfornace in Paris, "Beneath The Skin", is an excellent concert video. The band and the crowd were really into it.
The Cat 3
Terribly sad news... ...thoughts and prayers to her family, friends and fans. Rest In Peace Dolores and thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with the world. :(

HemiBeers
That's very sad. Death was "very sudden". Per RollingStone: "No cause of death was revealed. The Irish Times notes that the Cranberries were forced to cancel tour dates in 2017 due to O'Riordan's ill health; the band cited "medical reasons associated with a back problem." O'Riordan had previously been diagnosed as bi-polar." Edited January 15, 2018 by HemiBeers
Lucas
oh damn, this is awful .. 46 ?!?!?! The Cranberries were a refreshing carry over from a bygone era when musicians were not pandering politically, they simply sang about justice and the sanity of being anti-war .. RIP Dolores, and thank you

treeduck
RIP ...but I don't know much about this band. I've not heard any of their songs I didn't even know the singer was a woman. I didn't know they were Irish.
That One Guy
I adore at least one of their albums. Sad stuff.
Rod in Toronto
I had their "best of", and liked a bunch of their songs. Dreams in particular, is beautiful. I can't say I was a big fan, but I did respect them, and 46 is insanely young... I'm 43!!!!
blueschica
I didn't listen to her on a regular basis but I always admired her voice. Powerful but somehow haunting. RIP.

Mosher
I sometimes loved them and sometimes was indifferent. But the love moments were enough that I own 5 of their albums. Bury the Hatchet I play frequently, that album is stellar throughout. No Need to Argue would be my second, followed by the debut. In fairness, I have not yet heard Roses. I will make it a point to do so. My wife can't stand her singing style, but I dug it.
