  1. that's a good idea...and low income people can eat the generic non-kellogg brands from walmart. mr. jackass ceo might want to re-think his absurdity.
  2. I can get a steak dinner at my local Texas Roadhouse for $18 (excluding tip). I think at that price 5 guys has or is close to jumping the shark with their current business model. Good food, but not worth $18 imo. I've got it down to a science on how to play the fast food menus to my advantage. McDs...always get the BOGO deals for $4 or $7 if I want fries. Always drink water at sit down restaurants (oh that pisses off the waitresses because drinks have the highest margins in the place). Culvers...get the cheeseburger kids meal...$7 includes custard.
  3. On the surface, the extra point seemed like the difference. But if 49ers were up by 4, then the Chiefs would have went for the TD instead of the tying FG. Pretty good odds that they would have gotten the TD. Hypothetical yes, but when you have Mahomes any hypothetical is a valid option.
  4. "take the points campbell you idiot!" 49ers convert on 4th and 3. extra point is blocked at about where the field goal would have been attempted. campbell is feeling vindicated. nothing automatic about kicks.
  5. the pfizer cancer commercial with queen was entertaining.
  6. so what's the betting line on a punter being named MVP?
  7. This game wouldn't be so f***ing boring if the Lions were playing.
  8. not sure I agree with alex about the pickup switch on the horn. I prefer "pinky" switching close to the bridge. but what alex wants, alex gets.
  9. someone is working on photoshopping taylor's face on kelce.
  10. taylor be like "I flew back from tokyo for this hotheaded dumbass?"
  11. Alex with the Godin guys talking about his Limelight guitar. Gets more in depth than just the guitar nerdy stuff.
  12. One continuous 5 hour commercial interrupted by occasional displays of football. Let's get this thing over with.
  13. I guess we'll agree to disagree, but I'll toss out some more facts because I'm a numbers guy. Lions were 17 of 20 on fourth down and 3 yards or less this season. that's 85% Career, Bagley is 77% from 40-49 and 38% from over 50. So at 47, 48 yards he is maybe 60%. If you noticed his PATs, they were pretty low. So I think his reasonable max on that field was 45 yards. So closer than 45, yes you can bet on the FG. The last 4th down was abysmal execution. But the first one, Reynolds has to make the catch. He's better than that. OC Johnson going to head coach the Redskins uhh Washington what's-their-name next year. That's a sentence to hell, but so be it. A lot of credit to him, but he got too cute at times.
  14. *sigh* welp there it is. alot of vitriol here against Campbell. Ok, so how many other teams were 3 points short of the superbowl this year? alot of criticism going for it on fourth downs. well that's how they got here. fact: their kicker sucks from long distance. so there's no guarantee that he would make a couple 48 yarders. In the end, it's a players game. Players gotta catch the damn ball (reynolds). players gotta have ball security (gibbs). CBs can't whiff on interceptions. I thought at half time, it was still going to be close. 49ers are too good to roll over for an entire game. Lions still set up nice for next year with no critical free agents and $61m in cap space (to buy some CBs please). At least they didn't shit the bed like the Ravens.
  15. It may appear that way but it's more complicated than that. The last regular season game, SF didn't play their regulars vs the Rams since they had home field locked up. If the #1 seed wasn't locked up, they would have played the regulars and likely beat the Rams giving them the #1 seed. There's a number of tiebreakers but I think SF had those as well. On top of that, SF played Green Bay and almost lost. I don't think Detroit wanted any part of GB in the playoffs. It all worked out. Lions are 6-3 on the road so they're a pretty good road team. Not fearing the laid back wine and cheese crowd.
  16. Buffalo chicken ala Taylor Swift. Bland chicken thighs with no meat on the bone.
  17. Wind took that far right. He almost had to aim far left to compensate for the wind. Reminds me of my golf shots, except no wind factor. Interesting thought...kc vs detroit in super bowl. Start and end the season with the same teams. Naaaa...not gonna happen.
  18. I don't see anyone beating Baltimore but SF looked pretty pedestrian yesterday. So I think Detroit has a fighting chance at least. They're playing with house money at this point so I'm good with win or lose. As a lifelong Michigan resident, I've had to put up with the island of misfit toys called the Lions for over 60 years. Forgive me if I'm a little over-enthusiastic.
  19. woowoo the mighty blueberries take it! Ragnow is a freaking stud. Amazing how many injuries he plays through. SF is the favorite, but this match-up should be interesting. A NBC hub in Indianapolis went down during the game and took out 60 local stations. Luckily most of it was down during halftime. Someone needs to get fired tomorrow.
  20. oh this is not good. Lions lose starting OG and C and my nbc channel on comcast has shit the bed.
  21. LeFluer is a good coach. But like many top end coaches they out-think themselves. I was conflicted about this game. On one hand that's another home game for the Lions if GB wins. On the other hand, I didn't want to face GB since they bitch slapped them on Thanksgiving. Now if the Lions are able to go to SF, that's not such a heartbreak if they lose. Lions are rocking that all blue today (the blueberries). The mighty blueberries are undefeated this year. Lions CBs are trash, but TB can't run which makes them one-dimensional. Hoping Houston plays today to unleash 2 decent rushers on Baker Bigmouth.
  22. Lions weren't in prevent defense but the secondary played like it. They couldn't stop a cold.
  23. Yep they took care of business. Fear the blueberries! Makes it even sweeter that Green Bay smoked the Cowpies. Now the Lions are the de facto 2 seed and get another home playoff game. Ha.
