RIP Thin White Duke

I'm walking alone on the beach tonight in Coronado. Beautiful night. Starry starry night ocean waves breaking into the shoreline.

My brother texts me that Bowie passed.

I was in shock and screamed Noooooooo up into the universe.

A perfect place for me to mourn the Legend.

The man who gave SRV a chance.

For me selfishly I was at the perfect place to learn of his death.

We are all part of the ocean and the universe above.

We will all die someday.

That's life.

Cheers to the man who sold the world.

This has shocked me. Absolutely shocked, this man was a legend to me! Sure, I am not a huge fan of his work as much as his image, but my goodness, this is awful. Awful!

The biggest shock to me since Michael Jackson's death.

RIP :rose:

Wow...just wow. I have to go buy his music now. Or at least listen to it on Spotify till I can get some cash. I guess Heaven just gained another incredible artist today, and now Fred and David can sing Under Pressure again at last. Rest In Peace, King of Atlantis.

I am really in shock at this, too...this is such a terrible loss.

I haven't actually owned any of his music for quite awhile- since before iTunes existed anyway, and so on...and one really eerie thing is that last night, I just downloaded two of his old, classic albums, Station to Station and Low- I bought them just about five hours before this thread was posted, and planned to listen to them today. And that I will do.

I've been excited about Blackstar, and was thinking I'd get it as well, but I held off in favor of more familiar things, as he's not the kind of artist that I would get everything new that he puts out right away- but it was definitely on my radar. And I listened to a couple of bits and pieces of it last night, anyway, and...it's just poignantly shocking that it turns out to be his swan song, released just a couple of days before he passed. :(

RIP, David. :rose:

We have lost a giant in the music business today.

Very few come close to Bowie's place among the true greats in music.

Very sad news

LEGEND REST IN PEACE. :rose: :rose: :rose:
