  1. Cranking “Quadrophenia” on my new home theater system right now!! This one’s for you Lorraine! A perfect masterpiece! Every note is beautiful just like you Lorraine! Hope you are smiling from above and rocking out to The Who for all Eternity!! Love, Earl
  2. I had a strong feeling in my gut to sign on tonight. I had a feeling Lorraine was gone. Although not a shock I am very upset. Although we never met in person, Lorraine and I were very close. She helped me get through my brutal divorce in 2015. An amazing and beautiful woman inside and out. Although I am sad, she will always be a shining spirit in my heart, mind and soul. I love you Lorraine! Always………
  3. i feel like i'm the only one who loves ministry, lol oh well.......but yea awake is a great album.......but 6:00.......REALLY DUDES????!!!! I do love Endless sacrifice......but if they had to pick a ToT song i'd rather have In The name Of God. Yea trancending time is one of my fav songs from then in a few years. i hope it gets swapped in. Mick So the cat is out of the bag on here! Wow! You guys don't care about people who never look at set lists. My earlier post was not a spoiler but since it's out now. 6:00 IS FUCKKING EPIC!!! I was going anyway but this sweetens the pot for my! I CAN'T FUCKKING WAIT!!!! It's like waking up at "6:00 am on Christmas morning!" Guess you people who hate this song aren't drummers. Some of the best drumming by Mike ever. That opening fuckking fill kicks ass. "The Alien" RULES! PROG ON CRITICS!!!! Heading to the show!
  4. Probably the right choice. I love Ain't No Fun, There's Gonna Be Some Rockin and Love At First Feel, but I don't see them being rated very high by most other folks, and I understand why. They aren't very dynamic. Big Balls is as adolescently silly as AC/DC got, and that's saying something, lol. Big Balls is something only they could get away with, and have it be a decent rock song, and only with Bon Scott. I prefer DDDDC to Powerage but I'm in the minority I'm sure. I like all the Bon Scott albums pretty equally. Each has its own character. To your point about Big Balls... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gihcqMrHnNQ Incredible album. I remember hearing "Big Balls" for the first time in my bedroom. I had to rewind it and play it again. Epic. BON SCOTT RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. The same HR Giger that did the cover of Brain Salad Surgery? That is correct! He also did Debbie Harry's solo album KOO KOO which I LOVE! Also DANZIG III
  6. HOLY SHIT! I LOVE IT!!!! The boys look great! God I love Flea! John sounds great! Hendrixish! Chad is fuckking bad. I love him! Will Ferrell! Anthony looks fuckking incredible. He doesn't age. But I'm not digging the hair. So be it. Voice amazing. I can't wait for this. I was going to pass on the Chili Peppers this tour. Fuckk no.
  7. I am actually very excited for this album. I've been a huge fan since their beginning. Saw them live playing in cock socks. I will give them Californication but after that I just got bored. Hope this album kicks some serious funk ass.
  8. Hahaha! Yes my brother. I will spending money on stuff on Sunday. Funny to note, on March 3 I'm driving down to Anaheim to see the last Ghost show of this leg. Sorry to hear that. Ghost sucks!!! Just kidding man, enjoy it! Hahahahahaha!!! I know Rod! It's all good!!
  9. Haha! You are making my night Pat. Another one I haven't seen! So hard to know everything.
  10. FRANKENCHRIST! A MASTERPIECE! I have my album from 1986 when it came out! My high school buddies drove into SF and went to Rough Trade Records and we all bought an lp! Of course it features the poster PENIS LANDSCAPE by the great H R Giger!! My poster is still mint inside the jacket. For those of you who don't know. A few weeks later the SF Police came into every record store and confiscated all the "Frankenchrist" albums and fuckking burned them.
  11. That sucks! But yes!! Give that song a listen! Very cool! And of course we all know that Lucas had THX !38 on a license plate in American Graffiti. Also of course in the title "THX-1138." Which I think was a reference to "The Body Electric." Also Han Solo says it in Star Wars. There's a 70's sci-fi flick called THX with Robert Duvall and Donald Pleasence. Wait what?? You know I'm a Donald Pleasance freak and a film completist. It's endless! I hope it's in print! I must watch it! I'm an idiot. Nevermind. DUH! The 1971 classic. I had a brain fart. So out here Pat we have a public transportation system called BART. Bay Area Rapid Transit. When they were digging and completing the tunnels for the trains, before they laid down the tracks they let Lucas film in the tubes. That's what you see in the flick. Great movie. That's cool! What about the Donald Pleasence film called THE FREAKMAKER, AKA The MUTATIONS?? I don't know that movie Pat. I love "Phenomena." You need to find it on bluray Earl! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SQ22R21Ux0 This is right up my alley! Sweet!
  12. The Orca flying in space. Love the cover too. Music was just ok. But I bought them all. Were you not impressed with Big Al Pitrelli?? He's good buddy, I just didn't love the music as a whole. I found "The Freakmaker!" Limited Bluray with slipcover! Pumped! I work fast Pat. No time to fuckk around.

There's a lot of great Donald Pleaseance films out there. Did you ever see him in THE GREAT ESCAPE?? Not the prog metal album, the WWII flick with Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, James Garner and James Coburn!! See my last post. I goofed.

  19. Great poll! I LOVE ASIA ASTRA!!!! I'm playing it now It's very good! I don't like Alpha, so this is a cool surprise. We have this in common too! I love the debut. A Gem. "Alpha" is good and I do love it but it's the weakest album of the three. I'm so happy you dig "Astra." It's an underrated masterpiece. Maybe it's time I did a deep dive into both these bands. I tried Triumph a while ago and thought it was all so very good but nothing stood out. Dive Dive Dive! Get into them both!!! Some bands need more listens to grow as you know!! Me and Savatage, who went from a band I really like to a full blown obsession! Hahaha! Are you sure we aren't related? Even family can squabble too! Lol!!! I too am a SAVATAGE Addict! Earl what do you think of the RUSH Chronicles compilation album? And what do you think of a RUSH best of album which includes tracks like The Necromancer, Circumstances, The Twilight Zone and The Analog Kid? I think "Chronicles" is a great start for someone who know nothing about RUSH. It's ok. Nothing great, although I did love the DVD when it came out with all of that old footage!! I would love a "B SIDES RUSH COMP" "Chronicles II: CYGNUS X-1"
  20. I remember buying Alpha, on vinyl of course in 1983, and I really loved the artwork and the colours. I spent ages just looking at the cover! Me too! It's an incredible cover!!
  21. I love the ASIA catalog when Wetton came back into the band. Amazing underrated prog pop. My favorite from that era is "GRAVITAS."
  22. That sucks! But yes!! Give that song a listen! Very cool! And of course we all know that Lucas had THX !38 on a license plate in American Graffiti. Also of course in the title "THX-1138." Which I think was a reference to "The Body Electric." Also Han Solo says it in Star Wars.
  23. Great poll! I LOVE ASIA ASTRA!!!! It's a heavy metal smorgasbord! Mandy is HANDY and heavy! Totally amigo! I need to make one comment about this album. The song "Countdown To Zero" starts off with the heavy synth intro by Downes. It's the THX sound sample on dvds and blu-rays!
