  1. Doug Clifford and Stu Cook are probably the most under appreciated rhythm section in Rock music. Smooth and tight. Creedence's secret weapon. Fogerty's post-Creedence songs never had the same feel or quality.
  2. "Someday Never Comes" and "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" are top notch Creedence tunes. "Lookin' for a Reason" is a pleasant Hank Williams inspired, toe tapping tune. Wait, those are the songs John Fogerty wrote...
  3. "Strawberry Fields Forever" - The Beatles "I Found Out" - John Lennon "I'm Set Free" - The Velvet Underground" "I'll Come Running" - Brian Eno "'Til I Die" - The Beach Boys "I Believe" - Buzzcocks "Centerfield" - John Fogerty "The Whole of the Moon" - The Waterboys "Freewill" - Rush "Watching the Wheels" - John Lennon Honorable mentions: "Tomorrow" - Wall of Voodoo, "Sign on the Window" - Bob Dylan, "Subdivisions" - Rush, "I Believe" - R.E.M., "Respectable Street" - XTC
  4. Big Thief - Masterpiece [9/10] King Crimson - Red [10/10] Built To Spill - Perfect From Now On [9/10] PJ Harvey - Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea [9/10] Wire - Send [9/10]
  5. Rest in peace, Mr. Verlaine. Marquee Moon is a sublime album. Razor sharp guitars slashing and cutting through every song.

  7. Ozzy Osbourne - Diary of a Madman [9/10] Black Sabbath - Mob Rules [8/10] The Michael Schenker Group - MSG [6/10] Whitesnake - Come An' Get It [5/10]
  8. Diary of a Madman is a much better album than Blizzard of Ozz.
  9. "Hard Hearted Alice" and "Teenage Lament '74" are top notch. Two of my Alice Cooper favs.

  13. I watched the documentary David Crosby: Remember My Name a while back and it was very informative and entertaining. I don't like everything David Crosby did and I don't agree with everything he said, but he did write and contribute to a lot damn fine music. Rest in peace.
