Oh, GNP, hugs to you. :hug2: High school must be a very different place than it was even a few years ago when my kids were there!

Likely Responses-

1. I think you wrote before, you are allowed phones for music during quiet time or something, but are you really surprised if a teacher takes your phone if you are texting while they are teaching? I think they want your attention to be on them.

2. Face to face friends in real life are different than on line friends; both can be important. It's worrisome when you say you don't have any. Start small. Maybe just say hi to a few people in band once in a while and see if it grows from there.

I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you. I think I have said this before, my high school had 2000 people in 2 grades and was pretty cliquey, but I had the most fun in my church youth group. My best friend volunteered at the zoo. My one sister took a lot of teen art lessons. (My other sister drank a lot, which I DO NOT recommend, she is still dealing with it to this day :( ) But maybe something outside school would help you meet people.

School started at 11 today, but I don't get done until 6 (I'm only on now because I'm between classes). Then I have to sit through a boring meeting with my mom about gerrymandering (because I'd really love to analyze politics all night after being a zombie all day…not) at the library until 9. I'm practically dead already; how am I gonna last four more hours? :boohoo:

State of Illinois. I'm helping a family member get a copy of their birth certificate and it's been umm, not easy. Quite the bureaucracy, and when they need stuff you have to fax it. Sigh.
