Phew... thought I was going to have to pick one only and possibly someone other than VH, until I read it properly. Heart and VH massive standouts here; fair to say I think of the non-acoustic part of Freebird mostly and there are lots of songs here that I don`t know, and have no desire to.

There are a bunch on this list that I find difficult to consider as acoustic ..... (unless they appeared in un-plugged sessions i missed!)

Now this is acoustic ....

Definitely a lot of these are mainly electric with some acoustic features (e.g. Roundabout), but then a ton of them are excellent songs as well. Will have to think about which one I prefer.

I find it really difficult to count Roundabout, otherwise it might have stolen the vote from '39 for me. Otherwise Stairway is pretty much acoustic through like 80% of the song, so that's probably close enough to count.

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You was originally a folk song performed by Anne (Loeb) Bredon. After Jimmy Page refurbished it, adding electric guitar supplements, it was lengthened to almost nine minutes in some live performances. As a result, Bredon has received a substantial back-payment of royalties. Edited by Tinwoodsman

Finally...a song that Zeppelin paid royalties on after ripping off.

Nice one!!! .... Jim Croce was taken from us so early .... who knows where his career could have lead him. Thanks for this ... in some ways he is a forgotten talent.

Completely agree. "Operator" is another of his I always really liked.
