John Wetton. Lemmy too.

Kind of sucks that guys who's work I enjoy are no longer with us. Sigh.

Greg Lake too.

Bassist/vocalist Richard Page of Mr. Mister.

Page has also done the Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band tours.

I heard somewhere that Ringo Starr hires All-Starr Band musicians to perform live in the group if they've had big hit songs.

Both "Broken Wings" and "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister were number 1 hit songs in North America.

Bassist/vocalist Hamish Stuart of The Average White Band with "Pick Up The Pieces" and "Cut The Cake".

Bassist/vocalist Graham Gouldman of 10cc with "The Things We Do for Love" and "I'm Not In Love".

Hope I didn't miss any important ones!

uh Chris Squire

Oops

Well, I didn't really count backup singers into the mix, and I know Squire has probably done lead vocals, but he wasn't the lead singer of the band he's known most for.

Like Gene Simmons isn't the lead singer of Kiss...but he's on the list?

And how the f**k does Gene Simmons belong on any 'best of' list that refers to actual musicianship?

"Best" and "favorite" are two different answers for me... I just went based on who I enjoy the most, thus I am the only one who voted for good ol' Claypool and I'm not surprised. However, I think seeing Primus live lead me to that conclusion. If Doug Pinnick was on the list he would've gotten my vote.

Gene sings lead on a number of popular Kiss songs.
