  1. My most recent vinyl purchases (ordered by the amount I paid) are: *Thunder Seven- Triumph *Rising- Rainbow *Minstrel in the Gallery- Jethro Tull *Permanent Waves- Rush (First pressing!) *Octopus- Gentle Giant (It cost waaaay more than I usually pay for vinyl, but it's the jar cover with the die-cuts and it sounds SO good)
  2. I would put Entre Nous above Red Barchetta... OMG I'm so quirky and different!
  3. 2022 might be too ancient to be classified as "new" but Epigone by Wilderun is an absolute TREAT for those who enjoy progressive death metal with swelling orchestral elements! There are also softer moments without growls (such as the opener Exhaler) Honestly, anything by Wilderun is worth checking out. Am I biased because they are probably my favorite modern band, I have seen them live twice AND I have met the members for radio purposes? Maybe.
  4. 07/7/2008 in Uncasville, Conn for the second leg of the Snakes and Arrows tour
  5. I know it is kind of awful, but part of me loves Neurotica... I am also generally a Snakes and Arrows apologist and love some of its less appreciated tracks.
  6. I agree with Bahamas' take on the matter. I really enjoy Martin Popoff's writing voice and the whole thing feels very thorough and well researched. Martin is also a really nice and personable guy and I had the pleasure of having him on my college radio show back when I was a student last year.
  7. I am reading Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by David Sedaris and Anthem: Rush in the 70s by Martin Popoff simultaneously.
  8. I'm not 100% sold, but I'll definitely listen when it comes out. I'm personally more into Joe Parrish's work with Albion (especially Pryderi) at the moment https://albionofficial.bandcamp.com/album/pryderi
  9. Wilderun, Haken, Riverside, Renaissance, King Crimson & Jethro Tull at the moment
  10. I think I need to listen to it again. Like with the singles, some songs hit right away, and some need time to marinate in my mind.
  11. I'll be seeing Jerry Cantrell later this month and (maybe?) Riverside if I can get a free ticket through radio
