I was drawn in by Melodic777's amazing bass tone.

Ahh yes Melodick...Geddy has it all wrong.

He's my favorite all-time poster. Short career, but such a memorable one!

1. Google Search.

2. I joined after dealing with the ongiong problems that followed the last crash of the Counterparts board. I still sign on there every now and then, but lately I've been doing most of my posting here.

Watched beyond the lighted stage on VH1 in 2011 and was fascinated. I had been to one Rush concert, took my sister for her birthday in 2004. Have another friend who names her pets after Rush songs and was always going to their concerts, we talked about the band all the time so she suggested I check this place out. I lurked here for a while but got serious and posting more during CA tour. Now can't go a week without checking in.... :hi: Edited by Rhyta

I did a google search, to find the official Rush-forum, and then I found out that Rush dont have a official forum, so then I picked this one, that looked like the most active and best one, and guess what? I was right, this is a good one. :)

First there was nothing.

Then there was Earth.

The dinosaurs came, but they got fat and died.

The Arabs came, and then bought Mercedes Benzes.

There were albums, often, we'd listen to the radio or ask the guy at the storew when the new album was coming out.

We go to the show, we didnt know what songs theyd play.

Then we all got computers and the Interwebz.

Then I joined CP.

Then CP went down.

And I Googled Rush message board, and found this hospitable place.

And I never left.

A brief history on TRF.

Cos CP ain't fun anymore.

Agreed...and do you think that's because management changed hands and/or cuz all the fun people left due to the frequent crashes?

A bit of both, I guess. I think the Off-Topic forum there was more challenging but it just got boring.

Ummn, I was posting on another message board about an unrelated topic, and after a while I just found it exhausting. There was a lot of politics and one-upmanship and meanness, and I remember thinking "I am so tired of this, I just want to talk about Rush." So I searched on the internet, and therushforum.com seemed like as good a bet for a forum to discuss Rush. :)
