Sad.  Great band and they still sounded great.

Who's next, KISS?

KISS are continuing with four avatar sex bots that will have real appendages, like real tongue (made of veal), real hair for the Gene bot (which isn't authentic though) and real permanent hangover for the Ace robot. The Peter Criss bot will have a computer simulated mind based on the human version of Criss. The Paul Stanley bot will be well versed in lip synching skills.

They then addressed the primary cause for their retirement from the road: Steven Tyler's vocal injury....

If only they had passed on performing Draw The Line so many times.

This is so sad. For any show to be cancelled due to vocal injury or illness is always depressing, but to never be able to play another show because of it? Really truly heartbreaking. I hope Steven and the band can take some solace that they made it as far as they did. Most bands of much repute don’t make it a fifth of the way there.

Cya guys. Thanks for the last 25 years of shitty albums and power ballads.

...Fire's up 'Rocks'. Ahhhh much better.

Yep, it's all downhill since they went back to Columbia Records.  Diane Warren, N Stink and Britney at the Super Bowl, American Idol.  Ironically, their entire catalog is now at Universal for the past few years, not just the Geffen era.  Similar to Queen selling theirs to Sony recently.

Sad that they have to go out this way but for me its no great loss.  The last song I enjoyed from them was "Angel" off Permanent Vacation - and that album was released in 1988.  I saw them twice live.  Once in the summer of 1988 (with Gn'R) and once in the early 2000's with KISS.  They stunk at both shows.  For me its long overdue.  Sad the way it ended but like I said, no great loss.

lucky he made it to 78 from the love affair to tobacco that he describes.

That's really sad. But not surprising.

I guess there won't be any more Twin Peaks.

How does he get a laryngeal fracture?  Did someone hit his throat?  Sounds like a very bizarre injury.  Sorry he is going have to retire and the band too.

I did like Rock In A Hard Place... but, yeah. What you said. I never knew who kept buying their albums the past 35 years or so.

Exactly. From kicking it to licking it.

They say done touring but i would bet they play the Vegas sphere in the near future.

Got my TM refund today for Feb 2025 show.  Still, very sad that I cannot see Aerosmith one more time.  I go back to 1975 Central Park with this band.

Among my favorite bands through high school. Both night in the ruts and rock in a hard place are under- appreciated imo.

Stuck with them through to nine lives - actually thought it was a decent album over all. Bought the live album after yhat and then called it a day. That "just push play" album killed any desire to hear new material from the band. Bought that archival RSD - that was cool.
