Rest In Peace, dang.

Can't tell you how much Full House I've watched with my family. Great show. Danny Tanner was a great dad.

I watched America's Funniest Videos a lot in my pre adolescence every Sunday. One of the funniest movie cameos ever below.

I watched Full House and America's Funniest Home Videos every week when I was younger. Although when I got into high school I stopped watching Full House, so I don't know how it ended. Never saw a lot of his standup but what I did see was much different than what he portrayed on TV. It seems like he was very well respected in the standup world though. Perhaps he can now be reunited in the afterlife with his dear friend Norm Macdonald.

RIP

I'm sorry, to hear, see, and read this. When I was younger, I used to watch some of the t.v. series "Full House", but not on a regular, and daily basis. I remember his dad's character on it, and he was a good one. He will be missed, and remembered. My condolences, to his family, and friends. R.I.P., Bob. Edited by Derek19

It appears that Saget died of head trauma. He hit the back of his head on something, and he is believed to have gone to bed afterwards....and died overnight. No foul play, no drugs involved.

Damn, that's sad and at the same time really weird. I wonder if the bump was hard enough that it knocked him out completely.

I saw that- so sad for his family. It makes you wonder how he did it, although I guess we have all slipped or something at some point. It reminds me of Liam Neeson's wife Natasha Richardson, who had what she thought was a minor fall during skiing. It caused some kind of fatal head injury as well.

I was about 15 when I lost control of my snow sled and rammed into a house. Hit my head, knocked myself out. I only remember standing in the street by the ambluance and spewing F-bombs. The poorly-trained ambulance guys let me go home, with a bloodied scalp and everything. When Dad came home and found out what had happened, he took me to the hospital, where they treated me for a concussion (and four stitches in my scalp). He then went to the fire department and laid into the dopes for not taking me to the hospital. You DON’T blow off any head injury.

Yep. MLK Day I had a hard fall skiing, landed face first into hard pack, lost consciousness. I was bloody-faced and barely able to answer simple questions, so I got the sled ride down the hill. At the base lodge my status was still shaky, so they helicoptered me to a Reno hospital where I got CT scanned and spent seven hours in observation. Three weeks later, I am on the mend, with swelling gone and just a tiny sign of a black eye. I managed to crack my orbital in two places, though, and damage a major nerve, so my face and teeth still largely numb. My badly bruised ribs and sternum have made sneezing absolutely agonizing.

Oddly, rotating my chest doesn't hurt at all, so I managed to play golf the other day. My head injury makes it impossible to overswing, so I actually had one of my best rounds ever, shooting a ridiculous 75.

P.S. I got the hospital list of charges for my seven-hour stay. $23,000, not including the helicopter ride.

Playing good golf made all that trouble worth it! :ebert:

Good LORD. That's awful!! But it's good that ski resorts know the protocol. Glad to hear the golf has improved, BUT...will you be able to keep the new swing, lol.

Did you see the movie Concussion? So so scary. All those sports. Football, hockey, even wrestling involves heads slamming into the ground, albeit a mat, but still.

I got a mild concussion playing hockey about 10 yrs ago, but didn't lose consciousness or anything, just a small headache and drove home, but I was totally paranoid that night and made a friend of mine who was overseas text me a few hours later to make sure I was still alive, lol. But seriously, yes, I thought of Natasha Richardson immediately myself. It's SO SCARY to think that something like that is going on inside a person's head and they have no idea. And then they just, die.

Glad you are OK! That was a serious fall!
