Fordgalaxy
The Station Agent. Peter Dinklage before the Game of Thrones stuff. A great movie with no sex, violence, explosions, car chases etc.
goose
The In-Laws, both the original and the remake. The original is still hilarious. The remake is a disaster.

blueschica
The In-Laws, both the original and the remake. The original is still hilarious. The remake is a disaster. I've never seen the remake. We watcned the original for the first time in a long time recently with our daughter, who had never seen it. She couldn't believe how funny Peter Falk was!

Chicken hawk
The Shallows. What did you think? Did you like it? I saw "The Shallows" Theres only like 4 or 5 characters in the movie. Kind of slow but i liked it. Nice scenery.
Turbine Freight
The Shallows. What did you think? Did you like it? If you can suspend your disbelief at the start of the film (a young woman travelling alone & going around telling everyone she's lost) then yes it's a decent watch. There is also a bit of Baywatch glamour photography at the start too which is a bit annoying. I wouldn't recommend it on the outgoing flight to a snorkelling holiday though! It is quite scary in parts.
Segue Myles
Fright Night. The original and the best. I actually prefer the remake. I found this one really silly.

If I saw it aged like 13 I'd be very into it.

It's why I am so hesitant to see The Breakfast Club. I have never seen it before, but I know in high school it'd be one of my favourite films...but at 25 I just don't think it would impress and I'm reluctant to watch it. But I don't doubt that it's a genre classic. It is just too late for it to now match up to the similar films that defined my teens. Annoying in a way...and I find eighties horror comedy especially difficult to get into now.
