  1. Ronnie was in the first act I ever saw live. He was the singer for ELF, they were supporting Deep Purple in the early 70's. Love all his work, and am in the camp that thinks Heaven and Hell was a masterpiece.
  2. YES well ahead of Genesis for me. Not just for those early albums but others, spread out over their career. Bass, Guitar and Keyboards all superior in Yes's music.
  3. I really like Triumph and early ZZ Top. Those guys have had the same lineup longer than RUSH !!!! Also used to like Goddo in my early days. Are they still going? Primus must also get a mention here.
  4. Joan Jett had the big hit, but I think Lita Ford's solo material was a lot stronger. Have not heard any solo stuff from Cherie Currie.
  5. Thanks everyone. Have enjoyed every minute of my time here so far. Even on SOCN. I will even take this opportunity to apologise to Narps, for going by the name of his favourite Cartoon character.

Maybe not such a good career move after all. http://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/ex-gchq-worker-found-dead-in-bath-with-front-door-unlocked/story-29915541-detail/story.html
  7. AHH. The good old days before PC ruined television. Hilarious stuff.
  8. Some really terrific films there. Assault On Precinct 13 edges it over The Thing for me.
  9. He did, but you do realize he was a musical genius right? Of course he was. it would be laughable to suggest otherwise.
  10. YES : for opening my 11 year old mind to more than three chord boogie. RUSH : for giving me a band to believe in, and a yard stick to measure others by. Zappa : for confirming that humor has a place in music.
  11. Sheet Music and Original Soundtrack are 2 of the best albums ever to come out of the UK. 4 remarkable musicians, who could play multiple instruments, take lead vocal, or write the song. Oh how I wish that original lineup would get together again before one of them dies.

  13. Sadly I too am not on twitter. I can't see another avenue for giving the answer, although you could send them a message here.... https://www.gchq.gov.uk/contact-us
  14. Don't forget, there is a twitter feed working on this. Blow them away.
  15. Lucas, if that is correct, I am very impressed. I doubt anyone is expected to crack it that quickly. Roll on the 22 November when they reveal the solution. Incidentally, I promise not to steal your answer :D
