GeddyRulz
No thread yet on Geddy’s forthcoming memoir? I’ve been waiting with bated breath for it; it was supposed to be released mid-May, but now it’s November. (I think this date is true; it’s now got a cover and a title.) Should be good, and we’ll probably get a audiobook narrated by Ged himself. Who else is buying as soon as it’s released?

Looking forward to reading about the very early days of Rush.

Looking forward to reading about the very early days of Rush. I'll use my monthly credit just for it on Audible. Just put mine on hold after downloading the new post 90s autobiography of Sharon Stone, "The Beauty of Living Twice." I still need to finish Lol Tolhurst's "Cured." I'm up to their post Pornography and synth pop singles era when Robert toured with Siouxsie Sioux as their guitarist. There’s a reason why Neil was the lyricist from the time he joined, too- else we be subjected to ‘Hey baby, it’s a quarter to eight’ for the next 40-odd years. 😂 (This is not meant as a knock on Geddy at all- I love, love, love all three guys. And hey, “Big Beautiful Book of Bass” I liked).
Blue J
And I’ll get my hands on the book just as quickly as I can, and devour the bloody thing.
anagramformongo
I just sent an e-mail to C-SPAN 2's "About Books", which is a weekend program on American cable TV ("Television for Serious Readers") and requested that they broadcast a reading. I had nothing to lose but a few seconds of my time. https://www.c-span.org/about/contactUs/

pjbear05
Just picked up my copy from a nearby B&N. They had 5 or 6 copies on a table, piled up next to Barbara and Britney's books. Will get started later in the afternoon.

That One Guy
Picked the book up yesterday. Apparently I really need to start reading it, because I had a fairly long dream last night centering around it. In the dream I bought myself and a friend I haven't seen in a decade tickets to a date on the book tour. We rushed there a bit late but got to our seats right as it started. Alex Lifeson was the guest interviewer for that show, and was walking up and down aisles slapping hands. When he got to me, he called me by name and asked some pleasantry. I end up using the bathroom for the last third of the show, and when I get back the show is over and my friend, a couple other people, and again Alex Lifeson are loitering at a table talking. After a short bit, Lifeson leaves. We get up and leave, and I see my grandfather in the foyer area, who had passed early this year, and we pause and stare at each other. Endo dreamo Apparently the latter is still on my mind, and apparently I have a subconscious desire to be first-name-basis pals with Alex Lifeson.
