I'm sorry, to hear, see, and read this. I liked, watched, and listened to "the Monkees", too. They were a talented, and gifted band, and group. He will be missed, and remembered. My condolences, and sympathies to his family, and friends. R.I.P., Michael. Edited by Derek19

Just read this within the last 20 mins .... so sad. The real brains behind the outfit!

The music of you and the rest of the Monkees will live forever.

RIP Michael.

I got The Monkees' Greatest Hits for Christmas when I was about 8 or so. Their show (reruns of course) was on local UHF channel 56 around here after school, which was appointment TV. RIP.

RIP, Mike. :rose: I always enjoyed watching him- my sister and I had the first 2 Monkee albums. Interesting guy- he wrote "Different Drum" for the Monkees and had it rejected because it didn't sound like a Monkee song. He found a good person to record it- Linda Ronstadt.

What does that mean anyway - "died from natural causes"?

Not a murder. Not a suicide. But otherwise a generic statement because they either don't know, or don't want to say.

That's my take on it.

I believe he passed away from heart disease. Not an overdose, not a murder, not a suicide, not an accident.
