ST3V
I know Alex played guitar on one of Larry's albums, so he has a nice connection with Rush. Anything Larry does is amazing

Crimson Emotions
Another Styx connection: The first concert I ever saw was Rush on the Hold Your Fire, and Tommy Shaw was the opener. Unfortunately, the crowd really wasn't into Tommy, except for the one or two Styx songs he included in the set. I'm pretty sure he did Renegade and I think also Blue Collar Man.

RushFanForever
I checked the set list for yesterday's Styx concert here. The Styx song before the Neil Peart tribute by coincidence is 'Too Much Time On My Hands'. Peart admitted that the inspiration for "too many hands on my time" in 'The Analog Kid' is from 'Too Much Time On My Hands' according to here. Syrinx
I am watching and reading these tributes and breaking down sobbing. Our music heroes are starting to go and this one is the toughest so far for me.

As me being one of Styx' biggest fans this is really cool to me.Now I just wonder if Rush inspired Styx at all...

I wanted to like this post, and a lot of others, but for the first time in my nearly 6 years on here, I have discovered there is a daily like quota, and I have reached it. Dang.
