Not sure yet, but I need to choose carefully, as the halftime show will result in an involuntary purge. Edited by laughedatbytime

I kinda like their "Songs About Jane" album as mellow or background music, but the idea of seeing Adam Levine perform is not exciting . . .

Forking A! Foo Fighters should be performing halftime instead of pregame. Screw the safe EDM Radio Disney version of “rock” music. A little distortion ain’t gonna kill you Kartrashian loving millennials. FFS Foos would sound like Cannibal Corpse to them. Go to 11 and make Spinal Tap proud. :haz:

As it goes down Monday morning out here, I’ll be eating a bowl of f***ing work! :blaze:

I often take the day off for the Super but this year I just have too many important job crappies to handle.

Pisses me off a bit as I’ve been a Pats fan since the Steve Grogan years and before the beat down by Payton, Dent, & the Bears in Super Bowl whatever

The Foos would be legendary. Shame about Maroon 5 doing it, especially since they’ve only gotten worse as they’ve gotten older, meaning their new stuff is trash.

Sounds good. So what time should I show up at your front door?

Not that I personally would ever watch the Superbowl, but I SHALL be watching the opening match of the Rugby Six Nations tonight.

What puzzles me is, why this obsession with food?...all that a big game requires is a few bottles or cans of booze.

:ebert: :ebert: :ebert: The more the merrier, come on over! The Steelers or Eagles are not in this year so it's a good year to eat and watch! I would love to see the Pats beat by a younger team, though.

I agree; I'm not quite sure when it started but it's been going on a long time! Maybe because January/February are so cold and dark and boring??

People have talked about making the day after the game a national holiday and they're only half joking. I liked when we lived in Colorado because the game came on in the afternoon and half time was around dinner time so it made sense. Now we live in the east and the game doesn't even start until 6:30 and runs kind of late if you work the next day.

Right now, I don't know what I'm going to feel like eating. I've always liked the Pittsburgh Steelers, and was expecting them to make the playoffs. For, and at Super Bowl Fifty-three at, and in Atlanta, Georgia, I really want to see, and hear that the Los Angeles Rams will beat the New England Patriots.

France threw that one away. What a coq up!

You’re probably not looking for an answer but I’m here anyway. :blaze:

These are my opinions but I think they’re reasonable:

1) For many people, it’s more of a gathering/event/party as opposed to actually watching the big game.

2) The influence of the food industry (ads, junk food, etc.)

3) U.S. portion sizes are substantially bigger than most countries’ so it’d follow that there’d be a greater chance of a food obsession.

Going easy this year, I going to our local supermarket "Publix" and get a few boxes of their naked hot'n'spicy wings. For all you folks who do not have the pleasure of having a Publix grocery store near by. They have the best deli of any supermarket and better than most deli's in this neck of the woods. Their fresh mad sub's put most others to shame especially "skimpway". Also the is southern fried chicken is to die for! But the naked hot'n'spicy wings are literally addicting! So those and some other finger foods & snacks and thats it. Easy peezy  Edited by Crimsonmistymemory

Publix? Isn't that the place local QBs go for crab legs?

Pizza, wings, my wife's special guacamole mix with some nachos.

No alcohol tonight. Need my energy this week. Recovery times from drinking are getting too long for my taste.

Bumped for SB LV.

I'm making a pizza, scratch crust. Not sure if I'm going traditional or Detroit style. Whole milk and fresh mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, red peppers, red onions, and mushrooms.

What are you eating for the game?
