goose Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Pizza. Papa Murphy's, but I'll fancy it up a bit. We're staying at Tahoe for the weekend, and a day of skiing will make the pizza that much more tasty. 1
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Hopefully Mahomes will be eating Tom Brady's lunch. 3
Fridge Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Why do you need to eat something to watch a sports game?.....a few beers is surely sufficient? 2
Fordgalaxy Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 I just had my gallbladder out but IDGAF, I'm going for it! Hot wings. Nacho plate. Natty Light buckets. Finish it off with half a cheesecake. I kid. None of that even sounds appetizing so I'll probably stick with water and maybe some crackers.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1 Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Why do you need to eat something to watch a sports game?.....a few beers is surely sufficient? While a regular season NFL game runs around three hours, it takes around four hours to complete the Super Bowl. More commercials, longer halftime show, etc. And if you watch the pregame festivities that's even more time. There's a good chance you'll want food during all that. Really, in the U.S. this game is just an excuse to get together with family and friends and eat a lot of spicy food and drink beer. 1
IbanezJem Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Why do you need to eat something to watch a sports game?.....a few beers is surely sufficient?Agreed, but Scotland will never be the fattest country with that attitude :tsk:

invisible airwave Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Just made a yearly subscription to Postmates so I'm ordering some Pad Thai noodles and eggplant delight. Figured I'd spend some since I'm getting over a $1,500 in tax returns to add to my temporary unemployment COVID money. It's over $1k because of the stimulus added to it.

Right, because cricket matches or baseball games or hockey games aren't national "events" like the Super Bowl is. Sure, like some American holidays it's an over-hyped day on the calendar designed to get you to buy food and drink and provide ad revenue to big companies, but many of us willingly let ourselves get sucked in anyway.

Now it`s just people like me getting up at 4am - or who don`t go to bed at all - to watch England play India. I may even watch some of the Superbowl whilst I`m awake... as long as the commentary is aimed at two year-olds who are completely baffled by every aspect of what they`re watching, and that don`t mind who wins.

I'm less enamored with the whole SB experience with each passing year. Even the commercials are getting boring. 3
