It's the Super Bowl- what will you be eating?

Why do you need to eat something to watch a sports game?.....a few beers is surely sufficient?

While a regular season NFL game runs around three hours, it takes around four hours to complete the Super Bowl. More commercials, longer halftime show, etc. And if you watch the pregame festivities that's even more time. There's a good chance you'll want food during all that.

Really, in the U.S. this game is just an excuse to get together with family and friends and eat a lot of spicy food and drink beer.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I don't watch any if the hype around the game, and I hate the extended halftime. Being at a party means constant interruptions, and f**k that. The true best day of football is the conference championship game day. All the football, none of the bullshit.

The SB halftime shows are big snoozefests all the way, and this year's was no exception. I'm less enamored with the whole SB experience with each passing year. Even the commercials are getting boring.

This ad was the only one that I really liked, although it was fun to see Beavis and Butthead again . .

Yep, and I liked this one too.

The commercials used to be funny and entertaining. Now they are boring and often sanctimonious.

I hate pop music, so you can guess how I feel about the half time show. ;)

Bumped for SB LVI.

Haven't done a scratch pizza in ages, so making one for the game. Detroit style, of course. Starting dough today, as I utilize a 24 hour cold rise to allow both a full rise and the taste of the yeast. Hand cut stick pepperoni, Italian sausage, red peppers and mushrooms. Plenty of leftovers for a second meal or snack.

What ya cookin?

Speaking of healthy, I might do Mediterranean. Got into that just a few months before Covid lockdown after hearing good things about it. Been trying out prep meal places as well.
