  1. Not to mention the clothes were atrocious. Leisure suits. Polyester pants. Bell bottoms. :scared: I was just gonna say the cars and clothes were kool. cars from the 70’s sucked. Pintos, vegas, and Pacers, oh my! I bet that Super Coupe put out a whopping 180 horsepower.

  3. And diesel is over $5.00 in your state. :rage: My Sierra will be sitting quite a bit.
  4. Hi Lorraine! :hi: Glad the surgery is over. I’ll be keeping you in my prayers. :hug2:
  5. When Geddy's time comes, I wonder what would happen with his bass and guitar collection. And baseballs, and wine, etc. I thought the '63 split window Corvette would be the one I'm most interested in but it only has a 327 in it. Pass. In 63, you could only get a 327. Vettes didn’t get the big block until 65. The 63’s are highly desirable because of the rear split window. They only made that for one year. From a collecting perspective, the 1963 Corvette is the one you want. I have an uncle who had a 63 with a 327. He eventually sold it to a guy who would not leave him alone about it for 6 digits worth of money. I do not recall a split window on it. Maybe it did have it though. If it was a 63 hard top, it had the split window. 63 hard tops with 4 speeds will easily fetch six figures. 63s with 4 speeds and the fuel injected 327 are worth crazy money. 63 Corvettes may be the only year where a hard top is worth more than a convertible.

Where We Talk the Muscle Cars of the Malaise Era - Malaise Muscle Car How you rank both Maseratis before the Lambo Maura is beyond me. The Miura was Lambos first “super car”.

  8. Prayers heading your way my friend. :hug2:
  9. I missed that tour. :( I love Mastodon.
  10. Any thoughts on where to start? I've been going down the 00/10s/20s prog metal rabbit hole and am definitely looking to keep going. Both of these groups have an extensive discography For Pelican, try “what we all come to need”. Great album. For the Russian Circles, listen to Geneva. It’s epic!
  11. Any fans of these two post metal bands? They are very similar bands. Both hail from Chicago. Both make nothing but instrumentals. And the both f***ing rock!
  12. Anything from Pelican or Russian Circles
  13. A few years ago, I was in my attic, running speaker wires, and I stepped on the end of a board, and it came up on me. Well, my feet landed between the joist, and on the drywall. Next thing I know, the drywall gives way, and the ceiling in the family room comes raining down. My right leg lands on the joist. Fortunately, nothing broken (except my ceiling), but the back of my thigh turned an interesting purple color. I have a friend who is an amazing carpenter, and you can’t even see where I came through. :) glad you’re on the mend Jack.
  14. I was talking with a guy at work last week about the Kia Stinger (he said he'd never heard of it) and that the base engine is 300 hp with an available twin turbo V-6 rated at 368 hp. We talked about it a little and at the end of the conversation he said, "it's still a Kia." I guess bias is hard to overcome in any realm. He drives a WRX and I'd take either model of the Stinger over that for a few reasons. I work with a guy who has the top of the line Stinger. Nice car. Won’t keep up with my Vette, but it’s a very nice car for the money.

Are you trying to be silly?
  16. So many great movies from Pixar. Incredibles, Nemo, Up, Monsters, and Ratatouille are the top of the heap.
  17. Cars was awesome. Cars 2 had its moments. The scene where Mader eats the wasabi and says, “don’t eat the pistachio ice cream...it has turned.” was pretty damn funny.
