  1. 1. Is The Police overrated or underrated?

    • Overrated
    • Underrated
    • Can't stand them so don't even ask.
    • Don't mind them, but Sting and his faux Jamaican accent I can't stand (this is for you Mick).

Sting aged better than him though.

Robert didn't fare well at all. Scary as all hell. They said it was Jimmy that was the Aleister Crowley wanna-be, but Robert looks like something from up out of the swamp.

At least Ol' Robert kept moving forward musically. Page...???

And at least Robert didn't bother with a face tuck, cheek lift, eye wrap, etc!

As I get older, it's nice to see old rockers etc who don't give a frig what they look like (ie: no wigs Gene Simmons!) as they age,

as well as doing what they want to do.

Robert could look scarier...behold!

:wtf: :scared:

That botox is awful.

Kenny doesn't look that bad. Maybe he just had a good old fashion facelift.

Goose, can't thank you enough for posting that. :hug2:

What rhythm Stewart has, and a sense of humor, the latter is probably what kept him from strangling Sting back in the day.

Love watching a video of them without it being focused on Sting even though his voice still sounds great.

I'm assuming this is from a tour within the last 15 or so years?

I spent the past week or so listening to pretty much everything the Police released. They are a wonderful band with so many great songs. Personalities and egos aside, they were a perfect marriage of musicians. Popular, challenging and enjoyable.

I think the most recent reunion tour, whenever that was.

2007. My wife and I saw them at Fenway. Great show.

They are neither over or under rated. They deserve whatever praise they get. Was lucky enough to see them a couple of times back in the day

Dry, but interesting doc on Stewart Copeland's style, its evolution and influences.

As I've said a few times, the drummer in my high school garage band absolutely loved Copeland.

I prefer the minimalists, and few can accomplish so much by not playing, by laying off. Yet he's showboating through it all...

For Stewart fans, here's a fun watch.

My top three drummer of all time!

Of course The Police are underrated!!! THEY RULE!

I don't think they're underrated but Summers is / was.

Copeland is way up there for me as far as quality drummers go. So, he deserves all the praise he gets.

As for Sting, I'm not a big fan but he's pretty reliable for what he does.

And even with all of that, I'm somehow not really Police fan despite liking some of their stuff and respecting them tons.
