I gave it a 3. I admire the intentional departure from Led Zep II, but it just doesn't seem like there's many 'go to' songs on this album.

Led Zep III is sort of the equivalent of Caress of Steel.

I think Caress of Steel is better.

3 stars. I love Immigrant Song and That's the Way; really like Since I've Been Loving You and Tangerine; the rest I wouldn't miss more than any other Zeppelin (meaning I still like; it's just not exceptional, for them).

A solid 4.

Not initially a favourite of mine, but it has grown on me a lot over the years.

I also have fond memories of singing along with Immigrant Song when I was a little kid

"Aaaaa-aah-Aaaaaaaaaaaaah-Aaaah!" :madra:

Four out of five. The acoustic stuff isn't always up to snuff here, or it's just a bit too out there for my perspective of Zep. A lots of it's great though. It's still Zep.

A bit hit or miss, but the hits are great - Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, That's The Way, Bron-Y-Aur Stomp.

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp actually became one of my favorite Zeppelin songs, thanks to its inclusion on How the West Was Won.

Highly overlooked album in the Zep catalog.

Immigrant Song

Since I've Been Loving You

Gallows Pole

Tangerine

That's The Way

Celebration Day

Some really strong songs and a totally different side to Zeppelin. Outstanding 4 star album when you size it up against the other monster records.

5 stars from me too. The debut and this one are my co-number one LZ albums.

This album was probably my 'introduction' to alternate tunings and opened up a whole new world for me.
