Segue Myles
Pat Benatar is in my top twenty favourite bands/artists of all time. Joan? I respect her so much, but her music does little for me.
Texas King
Joan. I like PB, but JJ rocks much more.

RushFanForever
My late father had both I Love Rock 'n Roll by Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Pat Benatar's debut album In the Heat of the Night in his small music collection. Both these albums got a bit of airplay at home and in the car for me when I was a kid in the early 80's. In relation, I found this interview from around 2014 below in relation, which was an excellent listen. 1-0-0-1-0-0-1
PB for me. Great voice, kickass songs, and her hubby is a real good guitar player. Joan? I respect her so much, but her music does little for me. Yup.
RushFanForever
Pat Benatar's husband and musical collaborator Neil Giraldo co-arranged 'Jessie's Girl' with Rick Springfield. Edited August 7, 2020 by RushFanForever
goose
Benatar's body of work is much, much stronger and more interesting.
1-0-0-1-0-0-1
Pat Benatar's husband and musical collaborator Neil Giraldo co-arranged 'Jessie's Girl' with Rick Springfield. Geraldo also played most of the guitar parts on that song, including the solo. He was brought in after the producer grew frustrated with Springfield's guitar skills. pjbear05
Pat Benatar times infinity. I've commented no contest and similar opions, but Pat FTW is out of the realm of comprehension.
HemiBeers
Skill level is not a close match in this poll. PB by miles. Now a Pat vs Ann Wilson poll would be an interesting match-up.
Segue Myles
Pat Benatar times infinity. I've commented no contest and similar opions, but Pat FTW is out of the realm of comprehension. I dismissed her as a singles artist who was just another big pop star of her day. After seeing fans of her work on this forum, I chose to delve into her work, and was astonished by the class and quality of her discography. Her entire seventies and eighties run of albums is immaculate, and I consider myself now a very big fan. Amazing voice, so much charisma and the songwriting is frequently out of this world. She's become one of my favourite artists of all time.

tangy
i really dislike joan jett.some of the worst songs played on classic rock radio. pat had a few good tunes back in the day but got cringeworthy during the mtv era. as noted above, pats husband is a great player. Rick N. Backer
I probably like more of Pat's work than Joan's, but the stuff of Joan's that clicks for me I like better than the stuff of Pat's I like.

GeddysMullet
Pat Benatar has a great voice but I don't like her material. Joan Jett is a proper badass female rock star but I don't like her material. Neither!
