My first poll.. hope I did it right!

Let's see where this one goes.

2 very different songs.. but also similar in many respects.

The solos from each are widely considered among Alex's best work.

"Limelight"

Better riff

Better solo

Better lyrics

Better lyrics?

Are you sure? I'm not.

I think TAK is pretty amazing from a lyric perspective.

Take for example the bridge

Too many hands on my time

Too many feelings

Too many things on my mind

When I leave I don't know what I'm hoping to find

And when I leave I don't know what I'm leaving behind...

Yeah, I do.

I think the lyrics of "Limelight" make its point more poignantly.

If you think otherwise, that's fine. To each their own.

"The Analog Kid" is a personal top ten Rush song. "Limelight" is a top three song.

In the end, it's nitpicking.

Wow, tough one...

I guess I'd have to vote Limelight, but Analog Kid is just about as awesome.

Limelight. Possibly top three, next to Chain Lightning and 2112. Marathon and Red Barchetta are its biggest rivals to that top three spot.

Analog Kid? Used to love it, but the charm wore off. Middle of the pack for me.

The Analog Kid does have that great guitar solo and the lyrics are cool.

But Limelight is such a perfect song....probably top ten for many people.

at the moment I'm the only weirdo who has voted for The Analog Kid; I loved it during CA tour and I didn't miss Limelight at all.

The Analog Kid. Everything about the song is awesome. Limelight is actually one of my least favorite tracks from MP, I like the live versions better however

Wow. Really too close to pick. I think maybe Limelight is the better song, but TAK really rocks.

Hardest choice yet from all these polls.I really love TAK, one of my favorites, but Limelight is too perfect. If you asked me to name Rush's best song ever (not favorite but best) I'd think it a toss up between Limelight and Red Barchetta.

The analog kid. just tired of limelight and i think the solo is better in AK.

It's not my favorite, but Limelight really is a perfect song on all levels. It's the first thing I would play for someone asking what's a good Rush song.

Limelight.

And I love The Analog Kid, I really love it. My favorite part of the song is probably the bridge- "You move me, you move me"...

Saw it live on each of the last two tours I've attended (Counterparts and Clockwork Angels), and it's fantastic.

But Limelight is even better.

That said it all for me. 100% agreement.

Um, . "AK"'s lyrics are about as positive and full of promise as you can get. "Limelight"'s are a glorified version of "Here Again". Plus, it's another brick in the wall Neil is always building between he and the band's fans. Okay, Neil: being famous can be tough. I get it. But no one's making you sit behind the kit, eh?

Musically, "AK" has a better chorus and doesn't take itself so seriously. However, I will say that "Limelight" has more of an immediate power hook: those first six notes are riveting and the song's composition is more intricate than "AK".

Both incredible tunes. "AK" wins for being much closer to everyone's heart than the thin-skinned themes of "Limelight".

I love The Analog Kid, but I have a soft spot for Limelight.

Signals' second best song gets crushed by MP's 4th or 5th best. Tells you something.

The Analog Kid for me, the chorus is very powerful and obviously the guitar solo kicks ass
