Brightburn.

Nothing bad...but nothing great either. I felt like there wasn’t much drama there even though the moments were set up to be tense. It’s like watching Superman pit himself up against a group of bank robbers. We know what’s going to happen given his abilities and theirs.

i've been meaning to see this. Segue raved....but now you, lol.

i'm gonna watchh it anyway.

It’s all good. Half the time I totally agree with Segue’s movies and the other half I’m the exact opposite  ...except this time since I didn’t dislike Brightburn. It’s an okay movie and worth a watch since you’ve watched plenty from the superhero genre.

One thing I was saying after the movie to my buddy was that they really could’ve messed up by taking some cheesy routes with the storytelling (don’t wanna spoil it for you). But they didn’t do that so it was a relief. Still, I felt like I should’ve liked it more. There was just something flat about it. My buddy liked it though.

I’d probably grade it a C+.

Ok so i wasn't entirely sure what i was gonna get.

so this is essentially a Superman origin BUT the other way.. what h ife used his powers and become a murderer?

got to say. i like the vibe and that it's horror. but...............uh.......NOT on superman dude. i'm sorry, lol

some WILL Dig this and i completely see why. but i don't like the alternate look. just being honest. on top of that it's kinda paint by numbers.

but i do appreciate the try. but i did not really enjoy Superman being like Michael myers just with powers.

Went to see Knives Out -- it was great! I recommend very highly. Possibly even worth going to see at the theater!

Great writing, perfectly hammy acting, amazing set. Good stuff all round.

After watching this it just strengthened my thought that he and Rumsfeld should die in a fire. Why couldn't even 1 of his heart attacks have killed him?

Well done in all respects but length. Could have been trimmed a bit, but the acting, cinematography and script were great.

I gave it a 7.5 and it has its faults. But I liked it's old school horror feel and it's a great flipside to the neverending superhero movie releases these days.

It's no masterpiece, but it's definitely worth a watch late at night when there is nothing else on. Remember that Bizarro World episode of Smallville?

This is the Man Of Steel version!

I guess I was aware with some part of my brain that it was going long, but I didn't think it felt long while watching it. Like Roger Ebert said, "no bad movie is short enough, and no good movie is long enough"!

And the best sci-fi action movie of the decade, Looper. He went to the same high school my cousins’ daughters went to. He even filmed Brick there.

Heat, Casino, The Insider and Zodiac are great examples of great long movies I’d rather watch than a 90 minute latter day Adam Sandler comedy.

The Irishman [8/10]

It's not perfect, only very good. The de-aging CGI was, at first, distracting. Pacino towered over everyone.
