blueschica
Hunger Makes Me A Modern Girl- Carrie Brownstein She is the woman partner on Portlandia with Fred Armisen and also part of the Sleater-Kinney band. The book is a memoir but very different than I thought it would be. It's interesting but not one of my favorites. She comes from a pretty dysfunctional family so it's depressing; and the rest is a LOT about the Northwest music scene in the 90's/2000's and I'm not familiar with any of the bands. Carrie is a very good writer, though. http://i425.photobucket.com/albums/pp338/plantfan40/41EPYSumZvL._AA160_.jpg

Jaminbenb
Killer Twins by Michael Benson...a book about my cousins....(who were also mentioned in a James Patterson novel)Were they really your cousins? Yep....I only remember meeting one of them, and that was at our grandmother's funeral in 1991. Growing up we never saw them, if we did it was very brief. Imagine my surprise while reading the Patterson book, and seeing their names mentioned...(scared the crap out of my wife who was about ready to doze off that night)
x1yyz
"Who Killed Mister Moonlight?: Bauhaus, Black Magick, and Benediction" by David J. (Haskins). I was a big Bauhaus/Love & Rockets fan in the 80s and this is the first time I've read anything personal about amy the the band members. I'm about 100 pages in so far and am finding it very interesting.
Your_Lion
I've been reading a load of the old Fawcett Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel comics from the 40's.They're good fun, but they seem really eager for me to buy some War bonds.

I like this book because, in addition to telling us about some of her encounters with animals, she is a biologist and also gives a lot of good information about them.
