  1. I find it impossible to narrow it down to just three bands.
  2. I know that the corniness is cringe inducing at times (especially the lyrics) but I'm really enjoying this album more and more with each listen.
  3. Here's a link to a great review of "The Astonishing" by Dave Cooper... http://echoesanddust.com/2016/02/dream-theater-the-astonishing/
  4. I have it and I'm loving it. Somehow the songs seem even more powerful since his passing.
  5. David Bowie Neil Young Frank Zappa Kate Bush Prince
  6. I've pre-ordered Bowie's "Blackstar". It should Be out this Friday.
  7. I don't own "Rocks" and haven't heard it since the early 1980s so I had to go with "Toys in the Attic".
  8. So far the only gig that I have a ticket for is The Cure playing Manchester in November... It's going to be a long wait.
  9. I never really listened to Taste. I got into Rory later, with "Deuce", "Against The Grain" & "Calling Card" being my top three albums.
  10. I'm very fond of Vangelis's Blade Runner soundtrack.
  11. "Molok" by Gazpacho. I wasn't quite sure what to make of it on my first listen. It seems quite bleak and minimal at first (apart from "Bela Kiss" which features a manic accordian frenzy) but the more I played it the more layers revealed themselves. I think that this album will appear in my annual top 10 when the year is done.
