treeduck Posted March 11 Share Posted March 11 I think I'm Going Bald is f***ing good with a killer riff. It's better than crap like Bravest Face and Good News First by a few galaxies. Twilight Zone and Madrigal are good songs so is Chemistry. Rhyta Posted March 12 Share Posted March 12 (edited) Overall I agree with these, I do like Madrigal (I named a cat after it ). Chemistry I didn't like at first but have come to enjoy it. Roll the Bones is fun and I like the percussion in High Water. I am a Vapor trails fan so I don't mind Stars look down however I skip Sweet Miracle most of the time. BU2B so many pan it I just see it as a segue into the next song. Superconductor is the most cringe worthy song for me. Timbale Posted March 16 Share Posted March 16 I would listen to Tai Shan over everything off of Snakes and Arrows save Far Cry...and over large chunks of Vapor Trails and Clockwork Angels as well. It's a proper song, not a pro-tools jams-spliced-together-with-some-vocals-pasted-on-top exercise. Peaceable Kingdom and Ghost Rider are the possible exceptions - they are sort of ok songs (the lyrics are good, the music not so good) but even they are negatively impacted by the mix Most of the re-mix of VT. Since the re-mix is much better I would not include the 2 songs I mentioned above, plus perhaps a few other songs. Even though the re-mix is much better its still a poor album. Not one I listen to often All of CA until Halo Effect. With that song the album takes off - it decent after that. Nothing supper special but decent. But prior to that I find it to be a waste of my time to listen to. BU2B2 The Necromancer. I used to include The Fountain of Lamneth in the category as well but over the last year its moved up and I can tolerate it now.
