These dumbasses in the National Parks attempting the selfies with wildlife.  Especially the young lady in the black shorts with the bison.  I was so waiting on that buff to get up and headbutt that moron.

I remember the signs in Yellowstone with illustrations of bison chasing fleeing idiots, warning a buff can reach a peak of 35 mph.

Like the woman who just had to get a picture of the alligator down in Florida not too long ago.  She ignored several warnings from her friends.  DARWIN AWARD NOMINEE!

Henry Winkler is doing a book tour for his memoir, “Being Henry: The Fonz…and Beyond”.

Milwaukee was the setting for The Fonz and his pals in the classic 70’s TV show, “Happy Days”.

Winkler’s book tour does not include Milwaukee.  What a nerd…..

Family stuff.  My elderly mom moved to our town to be in an apartment near us. She left behind a house full of nice furniture and antiques.  My sister is supposed to be arranging a clean out sale.

Instead she calls today and goes, "I found someone to take everything away!  We only have to pay them 500.00!"     My mom wants her stuff to go to people that need it, or at least to the Purple Heart Veterans store.

Mount Sterling and Paris, Kentucky:  Fliers anonymously distributed around the towns.

It's just like herpes. It never goes away completely.

We treat it the best we can, but embarrassing outbreaks keep occurring.

Oh boy, I feel for you.  I am still having issues between my siblings over some of my Mother's things long after her passing.   Family can be so frustrating

People just can't leave well enough alone.

A submersible on an expedition to explore the wreckage of the RMS Titanic has vanished off the coast of southeastern Canada, the private research and tourism company that operates the craft confirmed in a statement Monday morning.

OceanGate Expeditions said it was “mobilizing all options” to rescue those on board the vessel, according to Reuters.  A spokesperson for the U.S. Coast Guard in Boston told The Washington Post that a search-and-rescue mission is underway and it would provide more information as it becomes available.  The company statement did not clarify how many people were on board, but said their “entire focus is on the crew members in the submersible and their families.”  Their website says that their mini submarines can hold five people and that OceanGate had a planned eight-day, seven-night expedition to the wreck planned between June 12 to June 20.

A submersible used to take tourists to the Titanic wreckage went missing off the coast of southeastern Canada with a crew aboard on June 19.  OceanGate Expeditions began taking crews of “citizen scientists” or “crew members” in the submersible to view the wreck of the RMS Titanic in 2021.

“OceanGate Expeditions makes you a full member of the crew and the experience allows you to participate in every aspect of the expedition,” said Renata R. in her review of a trip to see the Titanic.  The wreck of the ship that lost more than half of its 2,224 passengers in 1912 lies on the under 12,500 feet of water roughly 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland.

Last year, Stockton Rush, the CEO of OceanGate, told CBS that the expedition can cost can cost up to $250,000 per person.

David Pogue, a CBS reporter who went on the Titanic expedition, said via Twitter that the submersible he travelled on also went missing for a few hours last year.

Rush told CBS that some of those eager to travel on the submersible are Titanic enthusiasts, or Titaniacs; some mortgage their homes to go on this trip or save for 30 years, while others are so rich they don’t think twice about the cost.

I have a bit of a bee problem. It is in the blocks on my side of exterior concrete block wall along the back of my property.  A specialist removed the bees and knocked holes in the wall, revealing a section of honeycomb 2 feet wide along the entire 5 1/2 feet of the wall's height.   Bee guy said colony was about 4-6 months old.   Not only will the bees and colony be gone, he has concrete and stucco materials to patch up the wall.  Run me about $800 total.  It was to the point that my lawn maintenance guy was getting harrased when he got near the area in the wall where the bees were, so they had to GO!

I do NOT recommend checking out the many YouTube videos of bee-infested houses.  They're nasty!!

Bees, hornets, wasps, those vids are scary, and sometimes those removal specialists are being stung despite all the protection they're wearing.

Hobby beekeeping is big in this area, and my neighbor is one of them.   We had a queen settle in our lilac last summer and it was crazy how the bees formed a giant cluster.  I let my neighbor know and he came and gathered them by shaking the branch and dropping the cluster into a big box.

Took him three tries, though, each an hour apart.  The first two shakes were exciting!

I work with an icky person and I had to complain to our corporate office about her.

I'm dreading this conversation where I have to describe her ickiness. I'm going to look like I'm picking on a loser.

I am facepalming over even having to do this. From now on she's "Dirty Snowflake" to me.

& So much "other".....

My niece just informed me that her icky co-worker and fellow supervisor, an incompetent child/man, finally got himself fired.

The boy had no business being in charge of anyone.  My niece now has to do much of his work, but she's giggling while doing it.....

I guess it was inevitable, but one of the Publix (grocery store) locations I frequent tore out two check out lines and are replacing them with self-check out stations.  They haven't brought them online yet.  Now, I utilize these in Home Depot occasionally, but in a full service grocery I am envisioning a disaster.  Jeez, I've gotten old.

Gas prices in the People's Republics of Oregon and Washington, which were $1.00 to $1.40 higher than in Nevada and Idaho on my recent trip

But didn't they recently pass a law in Oregon that you could pump your own gas?

What's next, ATMs?
