Segue Myles
Anything by Khoma, Lacuna Coil or Alter Bridge. All Beatles albums from A Hard Day's Night through to Abbey Road. Emili Sande's debut. Fleetwood Mac's Tusk. But just one album? Grrrrr... The two most mindblowing albums that i love are Khoma's The Second Wave and Thrice's Vheissu. Fridge
Thunder and Consolation - New Model Army incredibly sharply observed, though provoking and at times deeply moving collection of songs.
goose
No mater how often I hear the record, Dirt from Alice in Chains remains one of my all-time favourites. There is not one song of lesser quality on the album, and the music is so compelling. Crazy...but I saw the thread title and that was the album that came to mind. Open the thread and low and behold... Guitar Sessions had N Alice in Chains episode. Excellent. Edited October 14, 2014 by goose

RushBoingo
Easy question. The best album ever in my opinion Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective Even the cover art is mind blowing considering it is (as far as I know) the only animated cover art in existence. People who have seen it know what I'm Talking about.

Powderfinger
There are several. But if I had to pick just one it would be Close to the Edge. I reached a point where I had to stop listening to it for a while out of fear that its effect would wear off. It consistently blows me away.
Rutlefan
In addition to Every Picture Tells a Story, The The's Soul Mining is incredible, at least after you get the first song out of the way.

Which songs did you already know to like them? Also, you still have not told me what you thought of Oingo Boingo.
