This one of the last albums Id rather hear in its entirety. Id much rather get Power Windows, Hemispheres, Presto, etc...

I only like 3 songs on Signals. Subdivisions, Analog Kid, The Weapon. >_>

Good god. You would really want them to play Presto in its entirety? REALLY?

Well, getting the chance to see songs like Chain Lightning, Scars, Red Tide, and Available Light live would be worth it!

Oh yeah, I'd happily sell a distant relative into slavery to hear Scars live again.

Here's a thought some of you might find disturbing.

It's also the 20th anniversary of Roll The Bones. tongue.gif

OMG!!!!

YOU GUYS I JUST REALIZED!!!

That tour book that we saw that had the sidewalk on it, that's the SAME SIDEWALK or close enough that was on the Roll the Bones tourbook!!! That must mean they're going to play Roll the Bones in its ENTIRETY!!!

I can't wait to hear You Bet Your Life!!!

I hope they do awesome mash-ups of songs off of Signals and RTB!!!

Roll the Analog Kid?

The Big Subdivisions?

Face Down?

Digital Heresy?

Dream Chemistry?

Don't forget the tribute to Viagra.... Chemistry Bones

I would not be so suprised. The Moving Pictures set was a huge success. It is a business and it worked like a charm on the last tour. They do play two sets with no opener. We already had two songs played from the new record. It would seem like there would be plenty of time for all the songs they "have" to play, the new stuff, and another LP set.

I will admit I'm one of the ones that would love Signals, so I'm probably just wanting to think it's possible.

After thinking about it some more, I do think the CA/Signals Tour could be a possibility (though unlikely).

For Signals, they would need to relearn Chemistry, The Weapon, and Countdown. Don't think they've ever played Losing It live, but they could sure unleash Alex in the solo section! 1022.gif Funny, way back when I first heard Losing It, I thought the solo was some crazy guitar synth effect. smile.gif

For Clockwork Angels, I think they will play the whole CA suite. But they've said the suite is only about 6 songs, and the other CA tracks aren't connected. Of course, this may have changed. Personally, I'm still hoping that ALL the tracks are part of the CA story, making it Rush's first true concept album.

So they COULD theoretically play 8 songs from Signals plus 6-8 from CA, and still have room for most of the staples. And it would continue the Time Machine theme, combining the old and the new eras. Hmm... tongue.gif

But I'm still skeptical of those leaked images.

lol.

I dont see a whole album treatment.  And not Signals, no way would they play Losing it or Countdown.

PeW would be epic.  And awesome, but I dont see it.

How about a 3 hr. medley?  laugh.gif

Actually, a CA/Permanent Waves tour would be easier, because they'd only have to learn Jacob's Ladder and Different Strings.

And this would also take care of JL, the second-most-requested song after TCE.

And PeW is probably more popular overall with fans than Signals.

Hmmm... banghead.gif tongue.gif

I'm confused as to why people say "No way they could play Losing It or Countdown!".

First off, they played Countdown on the Signals tour.. so that ones out the window.

As for Losing It....

Pretty simple really. Geddy, meet the Mini-Moog. Mini-Moog, meet the sequencer. Y'all gonna be even better friends than you already are.

Not they can't, they won't. No way. Countdown was a moment in time documenting the excitement of the Space Shuttle. Makes no sense to play that now. Losing it is not the kind of song to play live - they could, but I'd find incredible if they meet and agree to do that. This isnt Time Machine, they will want to play some CA.. cant do that and a whole album unless the album is a crowd pleaser all the way through, and IMO that leaves MP and PeW. I also think they may think the whole album thing is a "been there done that." I expect a setlist with 2-3 treats of previously not played, or havent played in a while, then the "standards" and CA.

no... no... no, NO, NO, NO!!!!

NOT SIGNALS. angry.gif no.gif

Anything but Signals. I'd rather hear Snakes and Arrows than Signals in full.

062802puke_prv.gif Just play Subdivisions, New World Man, and the Weapon and leave the rest to RIP, as it should be. wacko.gif

This really shocks me....I really don't think there is any other explanation for having the dalmation and fire hydrant on the tourbook cover....it sure would seem to be a major indicator that they are going to do this. Why else would that cover exist?

I will enjoy this concert no matter what they play so I don't want to come off as another bitchy fan. That being said, the Signals album seems so anticlimactic. It's not even a top 10 rush album for me.

Subdivisions-played every tour

Analog Kid-Will be very cool to hear this. Don't think they've played it since the 90's

Chemisty-IMHO one of the cheesiest Rush songs out there, at least lyrically

Digital Man-Played on the Snakes and Arrows tour

The Weapon-Meh-average song by Rush standards

New World Man-Decent choice.

Losing It-It's a nice song but cant say I see it translating well in concert. Plus I had heard Alex doesn't even play on this song? Is he gonna go sit with the audience during this one? LOL

Countdown-Never been a fan. Overrated and lyrically kind of dated now

I would much prefer more Clockwork Angels songs than Signals but I'm probably in the minority there. I have a real good feeling this album is going to be epic and it might be our only chance to hear them live

The middle section of The Weapon live on the Signals tour was orgasmic, and Countdown sounded like the arena was taking off.

I can only dream that they would start playing Losing It and Ben Mink walks on stage. It can happen! He made guest appearances on the HEART tour no too long ago!

As for The Weapon and Countdown. Two of the best songs live off Signals! Coutdown is just orgasmic!

I definitely think Signals is a stronger album than 2112 (although I'd love to hear a live rendition of "Tears" for sure). However, I don't really know whether to believe they'd be doing the whole album or not, because it doesn't really make much sense. I, personally would rather have "Hemispheres" (yeah right) or "Grace Under Pressure", but I kind of doubt they'd even do Signals. I might even prefer them to do "Clockwork Angels" in full if it is a concept record. It would definitely be a great way to road test the songs for future tours. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. biggrin.gif

+1

I hope they play the whole album and maybe they find a ideal solution to integrate Alex in 'Losing It' - acoustic version???!!!

I'd much rather hear all of Permanent Waves than Signals. As mentioned, Jacob's Ladder is extremely fan-requested, and awesome. Different strings would be a cool tune live, and we already know Entre Nous and Natural Science are cool live.

Honestly...and I'm sure I'm in the minority when I say this, but I'd rather hear Signals over PeW.

I'm much more interested in seeing:

The Analog Kid, Chemistry, The Weapon, and Losing It

...over...

Jacob's Ladder and Different Strings

That would certainly be more popular overall with the crowd but for me personally I'd rather get the most bang by hearing an album with more rare stuff on it. Everything but The Camera Eye from MP had been played from 2002 to 2008 anyway so hearing "Moving Pictures in its entirety!" really gained us one song. Similarly, hearing all of Permanent Waves would get us 2 rare songs, awesome as they are. I mean, heck, 4 of the 6 were just played on the S&A tour. TSOR and Freewill are practically overplayed and Natural Science was played on 3 out of 4 tours from TFE through S&A . It's just too much of the same thing to me. But I accept that it's what most of the crowd would want.

I agree. They will probably play Spirit and Freewill regardless.

The only logical answer to this is to play Counterparts in it's entirety...

It is after all the 18th anniversary of that masterpiece

It's also the fifth anniversary of Snakes & Arrows. I vote for doing ALL OF SNAKES & ARROWS!!!! MUAHAHAHA! SUCK IT, HATERS! tongue.gif

If it is true that they are playing Signals in it's entirety - then it really sucks that the image was leaked and I bet the band and their management are understandably pissed off.

Talk about a major spoiler.
