1971 was a tough year to keep up with new music

Beast of a year! My favorite albums from 3 of my top 10 bands: Aqualung, Who’s Next, LZ4.

Hunky Dory and L.A. Woman are great ones too from Bowie and The Doors!

Some fantastic albums here ... the early '70s were the golden age of rock. Those years could never be bettered.

I own or have owned 27 of the albums listed.

21 for me.

I also own 27 (my excuse is that I'm an old geezer!)

I think it depends on your own age. In 1971 I turned 4. There’s 10 or so albums on that list I love. 1980 to1983 is more my speed, for obvious reasons.

Why do you hate Linda McCartney?

Being a young fella in 1971 and not listening to rock just yet, I have 10 of those records on the list. 1971 records I do have that don't appear there..

Deep Purple - Fireball

Zappa/Mothers - Fillmore East

Zappa - 200 Motels

Yes - Fragile

Steppenwolf - For Ladies Only

A couple classics absent from the above list: Yes - Fragile, Jethro Tull - Aqualung

Aqualung is listed. I even mentioned it in an earlier post.
