YYZumbi
So which tour do you guys like best? R30 Tour or R40 Tour?
YYZumbi
My vote goes to R40 Tour. Better set list. Edited June 30, 2015 by YYZumbi
stone and a hard place
Have not seen R40 yet--so my vote is for R30.
Jaminbenb
Definitely R40! More obscure stuff that they hadn't played in a while...no cover tunes..more variety. (plus the backwards through the catalog concept is pretty cool!)
PolarizeMe
R40 for the stage show, the rotating setlists concept (which means more songs collectively) and especially its inclusion of songs they haven't played in 30+ plus years in full.
librarian
Interesting question, since I attended both. Hmm...
rocketom
R30 was a piece of Crap! This tour Blows it out of the water.
bluefox4000
For the 2nd set ALONE......R40 is better. plus it's not weighted down by covers. Mick
geezer
R30 had a band in better shape that also played longer shows but R40 wins because the band gives 110%If it is indeed a swan song, nothing could be more majestic.
ReRushed
I'm still basking in the glory that was the Newark show. R40 is my pick. Although, attending R30 helped reignite my love for this special band.
Merely Space
92% of Xanadu vs. 45% of Xanadu = R40 for teh win!
bordercollie
R40, because R30 had non-Rush songs wasting space.
satchmothesnowdog
R40. The second set was like going to see the Signals tour again. Just kick ass :)
rocket ignites
Just going by set lists without experiencing either tour...I say R40. R30 was great going by the DVD alone, but I don't care for covers. The medley was cool, but doesn't hold a candle to classic full songs we get on R40.

DistantEarlySignals
R40 for setlist / performance / vocals. R40 vocals are the best since VT tour! Ged sounds amazing!
Boston_E
R30 was definitey better. Despite the cover songs, overall I preferred the setlist. I thought R30 was a much more lively upbeat selection of songs. But, the Rush In Rio setlist was way better than both R30 and R40 Edited July 1, 2015 by Boston_E
maxdistortion
R40 all the way. Seeing these songs live was incredible!! And the presentation of it all too
nicky6
I loved r30 at the time, but this is hands down a better for these reasons,, xanadu comlete with double necks. lakeside park, (who would have ever thought) losing it?? who would have ever thought, Jacobs ladder!!!!!!!!!!!! r30 had too much of the vapor trails tour in it with a few exceptions. Geds Voice may have been better on r30, but this wins with stage lighting, setlist. Edited July 1, 2015 by nicky6

NaturalHemisphereGarden
I went with R40, but it was really close. R30 had longer shows and La Villa Strangiato, but R40 had Jacob's Ladder, more of Cygnus X-1, the chronological thing, and the better stage show.
GabesCavesOfIce
How about a little symmetry...I saw R30 3 times and R40 4 times! Roll the Bones 5, but heck, who cares? R30 had the ultimate Rush song, LVS. The very interesting medley...heck, even the covers were a whole lot of fun...also, it had RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL. R40 was their most representative setlist of all eras, and outright best setlist since Moving Pictures Tour (the original one). It was mind blowing and spine tingling numbing, even seeing the pictures of the leaked tour book couldn't ruin the sheer shock of what they put together, all punctuated by Bob and his legendary girlfriend.
