  1. Been away from this board for a few weeks. I have seen the movie 4 times--once in 3-D and IMAX I really like the movie. Can't wait for VIII and the inbetweener movies. Guess I am not a fanboy but that is ok--this movie made me feel like a 10 year old again.
  2. yes, there is one seat on the front row available--not sold out.
  3. Many have said the same thing. In some of the deleted scenes, there was even more political intrigue, like how the Rebel Alliance was created. However, the three prequels' main themes were how Anakin Skywalker became Darth Vader, and how the Empire came into power. It was important to show just how devious Palpatine was, and how he manipulated Anakin as well as the Jedi and everyone else. Palpatine was an awesome character. Personally, I thought they could have done even more with him. A truly classic "Evil Overlord"..... :ebert: Agreed--I think alot of things they tried to do in prequels could have been more effectively done in like an 8 or 12 part tv series on netflix. It would have allowed the time to show the emotion of some of the things that happened. Everyone knew how things were going to end going in--maybe sequels should have been done instead of prequels.
  4. My Daughter Zoe, she is a ginger with a temper and she can go from sweet and joyful to grimfaced and forbidding in a heartbeat.
  5. over the last month we have been watching the prequels and the main trilogy- honestly I don't hate Jar-Jar as much as I thought I did, lots of issues with the prequels but overall they are enjoyable films, except they focus too much on politics. 1-C+ , 2-B, 3-B+
  6. Same here. And 18-19 years ago I thought, "Why the hell was that added?" All those additions never helped. They either didn't matter or made it worse. Again, as I said in the other thread, I blame George Lucas for any fuckup or misunderstanding. HAN SHOT FIRST! Greedo didn't even get a shot off if I remember correctly.
  7. who will be the first one to see the new movie? I see it 9am on Friday--my company is renting an entire theater and treating us and our families to it.
  8. Star Wars! Saw is the friday night after it opened with my Mom and Dad and Sister. Saw it 10 times that first year--our theater would let kids in for 75 cents on a Saturday and they would let you watch the movie multiple times, once I watched it 4 times in a row. Proud Star Wars dork ever since. Thanks Mom and Dad
  9. is the x-men movie placed in the 70's or 80's?? they sure didn't age much if it's the 80's.
  10. my company rented a theater to see it Friday the 18th at 9am!!! Last two years we watched Hobbit movies. I will end up seeing it again probably on Saturday and then again when the crowds die down. something about sitting in a crowded theater that both excites and scares me at the same time.
  11. I like all of the songs listed except, Santa Clause is coming to Town-BS in my opinion it sounds like he is constipated trying to poop and sing at the same time, but I recognize I will hear it at least 30,000 times each christmas.
  12. probably only a few months http://filmschoolrejects.com/features/how-long-would-the-zombie-apocalypse-really-last.php
  13. Why did I watch that. And why did that person never use Q-Tips/cotton buds?! problem is they probably were using q-tips and just stuffing the ear wax back into a huge ball--they is why the q-tip box says to not insert in ears. :dweez:
  14. not sure--I have been experiencing period mood swings and it could be depression. can you drive stick shift?
  15. yes, do you forget the names of people close to you?
  16. and I could see the humor in it as well--but it got old not being able to have a real discussion.
  17. The political forum was just as partisan as SOCN, but it had a more even balance of lefties and righties. The righties are pretty much down to FJ and Oak now. I was "banished" because I'm pro-universal healthcare and anti-gun. And the last gun thread got really nasty. It's because I wasn't there as the voice of reason. ;) Possibly. It was a doozy. It got personal. That was the problem with the political and religion discussions there--it got personnal way to fast and sometimes it hurt. Always seemed like I was getting dog piled on by the atheists and lefties. I got old so I banished myself. Most of the board was quite pleasant in an irreverent sort of way.
  18. but a fun sometimes wretched hive of scum and villainy.
