bluefox4000 Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Bowie. Jet is actually one of my least fav Macca tunes. Mick 1
Lucas Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) Jet is one of my favorite songs from the 1970s, which is saying a lot The memories that are linked with that song go beyond my usual long winded responses, but there are only a handful of songs that are in the JET league for me Sorry Zig Jet Wins .. Scatterbrain Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 JET! SC is probably a better track on paper but I've always loved the Rockshow performance of Jet. 3
Rick N. Backer Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 I love Jet. But Suffragette City or Fashion are my favorite Bowie tunes. 1
goose Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Venus and Mars/Rock Show/Jet live medley from Over America would take it easily. But on it's own...gimme the Bowie classic. It's a total blam!blam! 3
vaportrailer Posted November 23, 2018 Posted November 23, 2018 Ah Mater! Both are damn good songs, but I love the bridge in Jet. 3
goose Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Ah Mater! Both are damn good songsThere's only room for one... Here she comes, here she comes! 2

blueschica Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Suffragette City for me. Now if it were Live And Let Die instead of Jet you might a had me. 3
goose Posted November 28, 2018 Posted November 28, 2018 JetWatching Macca circa 1976 perform Jet with Wings, via the "Wings Over The World" documentary. Not many can touch McCartney as a live performer, and his songs translate perfectly for the stage. 2

Entre_Perpetuo Posted November 29, 2018 Author Posted November 29, 2018 I realize I never voiced my own opinion! Bowie may be my fifth favorite artist of all time, but Suffragette City isn’t really my favorite tune of his. I like it quite a lot, but Jet is easily one of my favorite Macca tunes, maybe even Beatles included. It’s so ecstatic and hook laden and the chorus just soars and the bass just drives! I love it! Great classic rock and roll from the master himself. Now there are certainly Bowie tunes I like more than Jet, but SC doesn’t make the cut. But I knew this would be a close one! :)
