What the f**k is a Juggalo?

In general, a fan of the white rap group Insane Clown Posse. They have a big camping thing each summer called Gathering of the Juggalos that has a pretty wild reputation. The stereotype is that they are kind of lower class what people would call white trash.

 

But, I shouldn't gave written that, I don't like being pigeonholed as a "geddycorn" or something. Unfortunately my daughter's friend didn't do anything to offset the Juggalo stereotype, getting a big new expensive Juggalo tattoo when I think he still owed a large court fine. . .I haven't seen him in awhile and I hope things worked out for him.

I think the Juggalo, Buzz. (never found out real name!) would have loved that cake! Mine was not that impressive! I just remember it clearly because of the fricking dogs!

 

I used to do a lot of baking and cake and cookie decorating so my youngest daughter (of course, the OCD one with all the interesting friends) asked me one day if I could bake a birthday cake for a party she was going to in like 3 hours. I think the story was that Buzz hadn't had a birthday party in years so she and his girlfriend were throwing him a very spontaneous one at a friend's house. Then it got good- "But we will already be there decorating so you will need to come drop it off. And you can meet Buzz!" :P

 

So, driven on by mom guilt, I made a nice sheet cake (I think it was a very generic "Happy Birthday, Buzz" or something) and came to this house to drop it off. Someone opened the door and the minute I stepped in with the cake it was chaos. The friend's family owned 2 large Dobermans and some teeny yelpy dog and the Dobermans jumped up on me, trying to get the cake, which I was now balancing at about eye level, trying not to get pushed over by these dogs. And all these kids are looking at me like this is normal, going "Hi, Mrs. H.!!" Thanks, but can anyone call off these stupid dogs??? And I'm still balancing this cake and this BIG guy comes over and waves his arm in my face- "I heard you wanted to see my new tattoo!" That was Buzz. His tattoo was like this, an ICP symbol, I guess.

 

 

 

The dogs finally ran off and I put the cake on the table and got the heck out of there. The dogs were last seen approaching the table for cake! Buzz had a bad habit of going for walks very late at night where miscellaneous persons would try to attack innocent him for no reason at all (according to my daughter) and he was just somehow forced to fight back, violently. This lead to at least one court case with a big fine, and a life lesson for my daughter, who got told by us that you believe that kind of a story once only. Buzz moved on to a different girlfriend not long after that and so we didn't hear as much about him. We did see him at Taco Bell one evening a year later, and he was very nice and friendly; I think he just looked for trouble after dark. I really do hope the best for him.
