  4. Well, it's been a wild start to the playoffs, so many goals by multiple teams. Leafs managed to win one. Anyone thinking Dallas was going to mop the floor with the Knights was sorely mistaken, Stone once again has a miraculous recovery and manages to score their first goal. Looking at the fans in the stands, Dallas was not living up to their expectations. I was nervous about the Avs against Jets but they scored 6 goals on Hellebuck? We should have won and if we don't split these two games I am not optimistic. MacFarlane really goofed not finding another goaltender especially since it was common knowledge Francouz was going to retire due to his injury. Oh well fingers crossed p.s. and our new team owner has decided to let the fans pick the name of the team since they can't use the Coyotes. Here we go with the equivalent of Boaty McBoat face

  6. I quite like their 2006 album...forget the title. And Repentless has a good energy. But yeah, I'm really enjoying their classics. Reign, Seasons and South are phenomenal.

  9. Yeah that's the guy, makes the dumbest comments trying to be clever...a ludicrous save Only time I cheered for Dallas was in 1999 when they had Modano, Hull, Belfour and Joe Nieuwendyk who I cheered for when he was with Calgary (Flames were the parent club for our minor club in Salt Lake).

  13. I appreciate this guys incredible talent to play every single note of every instrument and capture the same sonic quality. It’s quite amazing. If that kinda thing does not tingle yer toes......then no....you don’t need to bother LOL.

  14. Judas Priest - Invincible Shield I feel like there’s no reason for anyone else to write any new metal when JP do this, lol. Like, what’s there left to say? I kid, of course.

  21. Hm. The production quality is SO good on MP that the song itself may not actually be as good as we'd like to think. Like, imagine The Camera Eye on RTB, sounding like it was recorded inside a PVC pipe. Would we still like it as much? Food for thought. (OTOH: Bravado is such a strong song that it overcomes the crummy production. Imagine Bravado recorded on MP.)

  22. I've played everything over the years. Liked them, never really loved them. For some reason I played them last night and found the riffs and entire aura of the music intoxicating

  25. Is there someone here that really hate a Rush song? Give me 4 minutes of silence with a note of guitar and I am satisfied. Rush don't do Hits but the band is a big homerun...

  27. Worked from home for part of the day (had to take dad to another dr. appointment during the other part of the day) so I got the chance to listen to some more vinyl. First out of the box: Hymns Triumphant: Volume II - National Philharmonic Orchestra More traditional Hymns. Good, but not as good as volume I. Next out of the box: Pavarotti - O Holy Night A collection of popular sacred songs performed by Pavarotti. Decent. Next out of the box: Annie - The musical with the original cast Good stuff. I remember mom got this when it came out in the 1970's and we played it a ton. Still enjoy it. Last out of the box: The Beatles - Abby Road My favorite song on the album is "Here Comes The Sun". Overall though the album is not as good as I remembered. I would say the music I enjoyed the most today was the soundtrack to Annie.

  28. "You're done!" Wendelstedt said. "I don't care who said it. You're gone!" "What do you mean you don't care?" Boone screamed as he rushed out onto the field. "I did not say a word. It was up above our dugout. Bulls---! Bulls---! I didn't say anything. I did not say anything, Hunter. I did not say a f---ing thing."

  29. It's only the start of these 2023-24 N.H.L. playoffs. Need, and have to take the games one at a time. In Boston, after Toronto, lost the first game 5-1, they won the second game 3-2 to tie the series 1-1. Now, they go to Toronto, for two games.

  33. i had hilarious moment abut a decade ago. i initially loved the garden (one of the few i liked on CA) then one day i'm playing it. As it's playing my brain just goes. "this song kinda sucks!!!!!!" never looked back, lol Mick

  34. Same on the Garden. Pretty much all of Clockwork Angels is overrated IMO as I just can't listen to much of it. Resist is crummy as well.

  36. Absolutely. If the Isles would have gotten past the Bolts a few years ago they would have met the Stars in the Final. Of course I'd pull for the Isles all the way, but that would have been fun.

  37. You know way too much about the Stars. Very suspicious. Is it your second favorite team?

  38. Play by play, or analyst? Their play guy is harmless enough, so I'm thinking you mean Daryl Reaugh, aka Razor, their color analyst. He's certainly unique with his offbeat humor and descriptive phrases, but he's super knowledgeable, and in my opinion he''s the best analyst in the game. And as for their goal song, custom made by hometown Pantera? Also the best in the game. I'm been to games at the AAC and it's a loud and fun place to see some hockey. Obviously you 100% disagree with all this.

  41. Let's just say the world runs in small circles. My business partner and I met each other due to a misdeed done by a relative of Neil's......... I took all the knowledge I gained from the experience and used it to finish my life's work, which is starting businesses in communities that need warmth and comfort. Love your neighbors and love the ones who need it the most. L'chaim!!!!!!

  43. For those of you who use Audible, there is an insane sale going on right now. Most audible books are on sale for between $2.50 and $7.50, with my average book price being about $4 (I got 25 books at between 86-50% off for $103). The sale seems to be going on for the next 3 days, so you have time. But I'm stocking up now.
