  1. Thanks! I need czernina (or maybe not! )

  2. My wife asked me what day it is. I told her, "March 1st." She stomped back and forth in a line and then asked me again.

  3. Ironic that Paramount owned VH1's Behind the Music had them and MC Hammer as the first two episodes.

  4. I'd forgotten about this list. I'm not sure I have the time to take on the poll creation, so if someone wants to...

  8. Is it a fad, do you think, or is it here to stay? I keep thinking about how those sleeve tattoos will look when the wearer is 87 . . .

  9. I agree. To me this overdoing it looks as if a coalminer forgot to wash himself after a shift.

  10. Sometimes, but sometimes those "sleeves" are too much and everything kind of runs together. If you have just a couple here and there it's no big deal.

  14. It was a "delicacy" some friends Grandma's made growing up! The test of I think it got harder to do when neighborhood butchers went away but now they're kinda back. I'd rather get meat!

  16. We used to watch this with great dedication when we were elementary kids and it was on Bowling for Dollars or whatever. I'm not sure why our parents let us. It's pretty emotional (woman sent to death row when possibly innocent) and the final scene, with all the details of the California gas chamber at the time, is pretty gory. Anyway, Susan Hayward won an Oscar for her role (she's very good) and they have a lot of good films on TCM now for Oscar season. But, yeah, kind of like telling your kids to go watch "In Cold Blood." (In their defense, our moms worked and also the friend I used to watch with had 9 brothers and sisters! Moms were just glad we were watching tv! )

  19. I'm a bit of a casual fan of them really. I had those '80s albums and Freedom at Point Zero back in the '80s. I actually prefer the Starship version of the band, to me the songs were just better (apart from Jane which is their best song). I'm the same with Genesis, I prefer the poptastic version of Genesis to the prog version. Of course when you look at the credits you realise that all the songs on those Starship records were written by outside writers like Robbie Nevill and DIanne Warren and Bernie Taupin so I don't know maybe they ran out of their own ideas.

  29. I'm a software engineer. It's literally the hottest issue right now. I've enough clout to tell my boss to leave well enough alone if he wants to keep me and he doesn't seem too keen on enforcing it anyway. If I go in, I'm on a Teams call anyways since we're global. Waste of time.

  30. Yes same! I love One Second, I sounded very critical of it. I am not, it's just it is a surprising shift after such a successful breakthrough album in Draconian Times

  31. I don't know the full details of this because fans only found out throughout the day as details trickled out but Pau is in attendance at some kind of women's business summit or something in Mexico City. She did a piano performance tonight and tomorrow she's either getting an award or giving one out. The translation didn't make it clear. Anyways, here's her performance from that. EDIT: Pau did get an award on the second night of the summit. It was a global recognition award for her accomplishments as a female drummer and songwriter.

  32. I bought the one with the t-shirt, and then later I also bought the Bluray. Makes sense because I have bought many Rush releases in multiple formats over the years (yes, I had the early 8-tracks too!).

  34. Regional or a local yokel for me, for the same reasons. Best example is subs (or hoagies, grinders, heroes, insert regional name here). I bypass franchisees of two major sub chains and two major thoroughfares to go to a local. Only thing covid has changed is they recommend phone or fax in your order beforehand as opposed to a still huge walk in business. Owner has been in biz well over 35 years, and also owns the frozen custard shop next door. Has to be doing something right.

  35. I bought the 3 disc package (2 audio + 1 bluray) a few weeks ago, and it's absolutely incredible. I like the Dark Side Mix as it's a bit brighter, despite it's name. But both mixes are killer, and if you're a fan you should own this album.
