ytserush
Oh good call on the Miles stuff!!! Wheres Agharta/Pangea tho? ;) I was trying to avoid listing every Miles Live album. Even Live Around The World is cool as hell.
Rick N. Backer
A criticism of Made in Japan (and Made in Europe): too much "noodling" for my tastes. It's what hurts Zeppelin's live catalog (Dazed and Confused for 1/2 hour?), Rainbow's (so it's Blackmore's fault) and Sabbath's (both the Ozzy and Dio eras have self indulgent snoozefests). Maybe it's a 70s thing. If, rather than 20 minute jam sessions we got two or three more tunes, those albums would be far better, IMO.

Entre_Perpetuo
Haven't yet listened extensively to many live releases, but I have a few faves (most of the ones I've heard actually): Queen: A Night At The Odeon (Christmas Eve 1975, first live performance of Boh-Rhap)Queen: Live at the Rainbow (both the March show and the November show)Rush: ATWASJourney: CapturedKISS: AliveMuse: Absolution Tour DVD (only saw it once, think it's from their huge 2003/2004 Glastonbury gig, wish it was on a record but I'll use use the DVD)Muse: Hullabaloo (half live, half b-sides and out-takes, the live half is better though)ELP: WBMFTTSTNEL&GELP (long album, long title, tough to write out or listen to all the way through, but much awesomeness everywhere)Coldplay: LeftRightLeftRightLeft (sorry if it's not your thing, I connect with it though) Can't think up any more that I've really given a fair listen, though I've gotten halfway through Made In Japan a couple times and it's quite awesome.
toscanobarga
I know it's a bootleg but its an awesome sounding show of U2 at the peak of their powers, much better than the Sydney show http://cover.u2cdn.com/cover/Audio-Covers/1991-1996%20-%20Zoo%20TV%20Tour/07%20-%201993%20-%204th%20Leg%20-%20Europe%20-%20Zooropa/.thumbs/lr_1993-08-28-Dublin-ZooEuropa-FrontDC.jpg

Even Live Around The World is cool as hell. Yes. I love what he does with Second Nature and Time After Time. Foley is a bad ass too. That's a mixed bag. I thought Mr. Pastorius would be better than it was. Human Nature is definitely a journey song. (It's all over the place.) I'm far from a Miles expert, but I just don't "get" Time After Time. As a rule I dig his cover tunes, but I'm not sure he puts his stamp on this one. They must have released complete shows from this compilation,by now right? Like I said, I think this is pretty cool, but it's just a compilation.
