Mara
...at the end of the day... :eyeroll: Depending on who says it, I interrupt with, "it gets dark." Also cannot stand, "it is what it is""Reach out", which is recently popular in the business environment. Lately it also seems that "no worries" is teetering on the brink of cliche-dom. It sounds cool when Australians and New Zealanders say it. Everyone else sounds like a douchebag trying to be as cool as the Aussies and Kiwis. Rod in Toronto
Not exactly what the initial post is about, but the corporate world is full of those annoying little expressions, such as: "let´s grab those low-hanging fruits";"we should focus on more value-adding activities";"let´s put together a task force to address this issue""we need to secure the stakeholders´ buy-in""Sooner rather than later""Synergies""Take it to the next level""Reach a win-win situation""It´s a game-changing practice""Best practice""We have a no-blaming culture" (yeah, right)"drive the change, don´t be driven by the change""if you fail to plan, you plan to fail"

That goes for "deep dive" as well.
ThatLightInYourEyes
it is what it is... my vote is other Really, it is what it is? Gee, what a shocking revelation! And I always thought that when something was something, it had to be something totally different. Wow, I guess I'm just too ignorant for this world and I should be deeply ashamed. I'm going to go hide in the corner now, because I'm suddenly finding it, like, so hard to live with my lack of wisdom here...

Ancient Ways
Other: "No problem" as a (piss-poor) substitute for "you're welcome". I always assumed this came about because some language's version of you're welcome is similar to this. I'm Spanish "de nada" basically means it's nothing so it is similar to no problem.
