  1. Bumping this because a month or so ago, we got news about a new album possible this year https://www.consequenceofsound.net/2019/12/producer-hints-iron-maiden-recorded-new-album/amp/
  2. I haven't posted here in quite some time. I am beyond stunned. Truly. This is perhaps the first time I have actually cried over the passing of a musician. as with many of you, Rush has been with me my entire life. They became me. They existed as a microcosm of my personal self. I worshiped them to an extent. Now, my favorite Rush song, Losing It, becomes even harder to listen to, and even more emotional. I hope everyone here is doing well with the news. I know I'll be grieving for some time. Take care, Nate2112
  3. Dang...I mean I know I said controversial but that opinion there isn't gone make you a lot of friends around here. Those three are pretty much the most publicly renowned albums in their discography, and you'll be hard pressed to find many others who don't think they're among the bands best works, especially PeW and MP...I mean idk if I've ever heard anyone around here say they didn't like those two. If we were all standing at the North Pole in shorts and tank tops, Nate would probably say “Why are you guys cold? It’s warm out here” just to get a reaction. Even if I was "looking for a reaction", you were dumb enough to contribute to it. Except I wasn't. I've maintained that belief regarding my least favorite Rush albums since I joined. Right right, you never look for a reaction with your posts. Tell us some more bullshit. Fine, MP, PeW, and 2112 are your least favorites. Not sure why you're getting heated over this, but I fear for you man. Hopefully your wife and children don't see you when you're this upset. But in any case, I'm sure loads of people who don't call The Wall or Dark side of the moon as their favorite Floyd albums are just looking for attention. My mistake To be fair, there's a big difference between "these five albums are not among my favorites" and "these albums are their five worst." As for Blaze's assessment of your posting style, he's accurately describing at least some of your posts. You do make posts designed to get a rise out of people. And that's what trolls do. Are you a troll, Nate? This whole "doing it to make a rise out of it" is paranoia. It's a nice fabrication. I'll leave it at that. And no, I'm not a "troll" seeing as it's not 2010 and the term is often used by middle aged men trying to describe someone who's online presence is purposely provocative. I'm not trying to be provocative, either you're paranoid, or easily provoked. Doesnt matter either way. Anyways

  5. I liked him in Sabbath and his earlier stuff. For someone who can barely enunciate a single word, he's actually a really good singer

Permanent Waves might be the best Rush album(and it's absolutely my fave Rush album), but 2112 and Moving Pictures are their landmark albums, their two biggest classics among music fans. Being a big Rush fan and considering both of these two albums to be among Rush's worst is beyond me, really. Here's the thing. I never said they weren't landmark, because they were. I cannot change that, I just get better vibes and stronger musicianship on AF2K and Hemispheres than I do on MP. They aren't bad albums, just out of Rush's discography, they land flat to me.

  8. Despite my username, 2112, Moving Pictures, Permanent Waves, Clockwork Angels and Roll the Bones are the 5 worst Rush albums. Out of that list, A Passage to Bangkok, Red Barchetta, Camera Eye, Natural Science and Jacob's Ladder are the only good tracks. Everything else is mediocre at best
  9. I speak for myself personally, the fact that I’ve experienced seeing a few bands I liked split up/disbanded/ended (take whatever words to describe the end of a band if you will) in my lifetime, it’s inevitable and every band in existence has a shelf life if you will. It’s saddening (and more so if you never seen said band live) but the music still remains for listening consumption for fans (both longtime, and future ones from future generations). Rush is no exception for me. I don’t think we should complain or get upset about it that much considering how long they’ve remained active. I was just happy to have even seen them live once the first time I saw the band. I’ve since seen them an additional 3 times. I can’t complain at all...if I never saw them live, I’d be a bit more disappointed but that’d be mostly towards myself for not taking the initiative of making it happen and not towards the band. It’s because of that mindset I set myself I take every band I see live as if it’s the only or in the case of a band I’ve seen in the past, the last time I’ll see the band live. I look at it this way, it’s much better to have known than never known at all...regardless if I discover the band while still active, long disbanded, or on the brink of ending. Agreed. I wonder how the forum will do
  10. I'm shocked to see how well the forum is taking the final split up of Rush
  11. The facepalm is strong in this one..... Because I don't like 2112? If not that, the fact that you have Hitler as your avatar Very classy You literally have underage anime girls dressed up like Santa as your signature Very classy. I hope you don't have a daughter That's really not even in the same league as having probably the most universally reviled person to ever exist as an avatar. Just gonna let that whole needless killing of millions of people and trying to wipe an entire race off the planet thing slide, huh? Sure. More shock value statements? What else you got? You think I'm doing it for shock? Oy vey, Drink more Kool-Aid goyim. Have a shekel too. You're so far in with Western depravity that the mere sight of someone who adheres to Hitler's National Socialist and Fascist policies and worldview, and actually lives through with them is hilarious. Thanks for the laugh. Also, as you're probably aware, I joined the forum back in 2010, when I was a wee lad of 12 years or so. I hadn't a need for a creative name, so I chose that.
