JohnnyBlaze
I'm about to go out and treat myself to vegan sushi. Yum.How does that work? What are the ingredients? There are too many things to list so I'll direct you to their menu: http://shizenvegansushi.com/menu This was my second time to this particular restaurant and everything I've had has been fantastic. Their speciality rolls in particular are spectacular, so much flavour, and such interesting ones at that!Yeah, I'd eat that. And I just remembered I spent a couple of days at a Buddhist temple back in '08 just a few hours south [in Koyasan] of me. Tasty vegan dishes (not too dissimilar from what's on that menu) the whole time. My body did feel much lighter but the carnivore in me was calling by the time I got on the train back home. This is what the meals and place looked like. I think you'd like it.http://i.cdn.travel.cnn.com/sites/default/files/styles/inline_image_624x416/public/2013/06/06/inline-temple-stay-wakayama-prefecture-government-tourism-division_0.jpg?itok=6L9bgrnn http://www.nankaikoya.jp/fr/images/top/main04.jpg

And now I'm hungry :D Apart from a small £3 pre-pack i've never really done Sushi, so, how much would that little lot set me back.. roughly ?Well, first there is no sushi there. No consumption of animal flesh or products. It's been a while but at the cheapest places it's probably about $100 U.S. for one night which includes breakfast & lunch. However, at that rate you can pretty much expect to be sharing a restroom. Pay (likely) $200 or more and you'll get all the privacy you want, a bigger/cleaner room, and bigger/more gorgeous meals (even though they'll still be vegan). In any case, I can't imagine any of those places to be dives. I had pics of the place we stayed (the steeper price) but can't seem to find them. The room & temple were immaculate and peaceful. It's worth it for the experience alone. ***Note : In Japan, you pay per person NOT per room...though I guess there would be discounts for larger groups. Lorraine
If I had the money Johnny, I'd go get you a bunch, pack them in dry ice, and get them to you. I'll include that on my list of things to do when I win the Power Ball: Ship Tater Tots to Johnny in Osaka.
