drbirdsong
Yesterday I listened to Open Your Eyes by Yes. In an up and down, ever changing lineup of a group this one is the ultimate turd. The album before, Keys To Ascension and the album after, The Ladder both make the attempt to return to a more 70s sound and they succeeded quite well. Open Your Eyes has maybe three good songs, but for the most part it is just awful. I hope to never hear it again. What band that you really enjoy had a real stinker in their catalog? Hatchetaxe&saw
Open Your Arse is woeful. Fail From Here is nearly as bad. Genesis' Calling All Stations is another prat-fall of ginormous proportions.

rushgoober
Rush - Vapor Trails King Crimson - Islands Pink Floyd - The Final Cut Popol Vuh - City Raga Honestly, most bad albums by a band don't get more than one listen by me, if that. I usually take it on faith if an album is completely trashed that it's not worth hearing, unless it's a group that I'm so fanatical about that I HAVE to hear everything by them regardless. I like everything by Dave AND Sammy. This album stinks though. Me too. I think there are two half decent songs in the album, Fire in the Hole and Without You, but all the rest is so bad that I can't stand. I haven't touched this album in years, and every time I've tried to give it another shot it disappoints me. How about Eddie having a go at the vocals on the last song? Absolute rubbish!! apetersvt
Allman Brothers - Win, Loose, Or Draw Allman Brothers - Enlightened Rogues Allman Brothers - Reach For The Sky With the exception of Eat A Peach and Brothers and Sisters, they put out some clunkers after Duane and Berry died. Warren Haynes really saved the band. The four albums after are solid in my book.

J2112YYZ
QUOTE (toscanobarga @ Oct 26 2011, 11:12 AM) Black Sabbath (Ozzy Era) - Never Say Die I thought Technical Ecstasy was much worse. Never Say Die has some pretty good stuff on it. I think Sabbath failed miserably with Born Again and Seventh Star. The music was good on Born Again but Gillians lyrics were just awful and ruined it. Seventh Star was originally gonna be an Iommi solo album and it would've been much better that way because that album isn't very Sabbath like. But, sadly, everything released after Mob Rules by Sabbath is not too good, so Sabbath definitely didn't have just one bad album.
