The world needs more internet warriors! At least you have Fledge cheering you on. ONLY Fledge, but I guess that's enough for you. Thanks
  2. QUOTE (fledgehog @ Nov 25 2011, 10:13 PM)QUOTE (GrandDesigner @ Nov 25 2011, 10:47 PM) People from other states, if cars are making lefts on one-lane roads and there's room to go into a shoulder to go around them on the right, do you go around them or do you sit behind them and wait until the car is able to make the turn? in New York, most people drive around them in the shoulder, but it's still illegal and could potentially be harmful on the rare occasion that an emergency vehicle needs to get through the shoulder. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/827/propellerbeanie.jpg

  5. QUOTE (ReRushed @ Nov 25 2011, 08:46 PM) I love The Hangover. I'm laughing just thinking about it.
  6. QUOTE (liddybuck01 @ Nov 25 2011, 07:59 PM) QUOTE (Unattractive Truth @ Nov 25 2011, 10:46 PM)Knocked Up was awesome. So was The Hangover. Still, I don't remember laughing as hard as I did when I first saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. I swear I left the theater and my cheeks hurt from laughing so much. "Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma! Oklahoma!" I still don't get why people love the hangover. It really wasn't that great, imo. This. Awful movie.
  7. QUOTE (Pags @ Nov 25 2011, 05:12 AM) We've been down this road several times in the past with people who can't resist being spelling and/or grammar police. I have yet to see where it's been done with a good intent and I don't think you've broken any new ground here in that dept. Grown man can't differentiate between your/you're and their/there/they're, how was that not helping? Or are we pandering to TRF's resident manchild?
  8. QUOTE (danielmclark @ Nov 24 2011, 04:41 PM) QUOTE (fledgehog @ Nov 24 2011, 01:14 PM) whenever someone corrects my english, i'm glad that they did because i come away with a better understanding of the language and will probably avoid making the same mistake in the future, i don't call them a ***t. don't know how you can figure tj to be the asshole and not tick here. Because pointing out the misspelling of there/their/they're isn't being helpful and trying to aid others in understanding English. It's pedantic assholery that is quite rampant on the internet. Pointing out the definition of an uncommon word helps someone understand the language better. Pointing out that he accidentally typed "there" is just being a dick. Can it really be called an accident? He does it in every post.
  9. QUOTE (Presto_a RUSH fan_06-08-90 @ Nov 24 2011, 03:57 PM) QUOTE (Tony R @ Nov 24 2011, 06:42 PM)Or alternatively you're just a fanboy noob talking out of your kneepads... I guarantee that I know as much, if not more, about RUSH. I have read most the RUSH books out there and know just about all the lyrics from every album, except Feedback. That being said, your comebacks to my in-depth posts, like "You put the eff in fanboy" tell me all I need to know about the intelligence of the person I am debating. I think I understand how you got the 3400 posts. R-U-S-H...RUSH RUSH RUSH

  11. QUOTE (tick @ Nov 24 2011, 06:35 AM) QUOTE (Can-Utility @ Nov 24 2011, 10:31 AM) Nice reaction. Just trying to help. Eat shit asshole. I'm sorry, I'm the asshole?
  12. QUOTE (tick @ Nov 24 2011, 04:43 AM) QUOTE (laughedatbytime @ Nov 23 2011, 11:05 PM) I could care less when the stores open, I won't be getting anywhere near there on the day after Thanksgiving. I care. I hate the fact people (with non essential jobs) can't have a holiday with there family. The problem with society as a whole is they don't care. Sign of the times. I hate the whole, "stop complaining, plenty of people would kill for those jobs" mindset. Who cares? If this employees were given the days with there family, it would change nothing economically. We have become a society whose priorities are all screwed up. Family values mean shit. "If people want to shop on the holiday, they should be able to shop." That mindset is weak, very weak. laughedatbytime, this is not an attack on you. I just took your first sentence to make a point that these days people have a "if it doesn't effect me" mindset, I don't care. http://www.better-english.com/easier/theyre.htm

  14. QUOTE (GrandDesigner @ Nov 23 2011, 11:37 AM) QUOTE (danielmclark @ Nov 23 2011, 08:30 AM) QUOTE (GrandDesigner @ Nov 23 2011, 05:29 AM) I HATE HATE HATE when people are making right turns on a highway or major road, and there's a massive shoulder they can easily drive in to make that turn, but instead they decide to turn from the right lane on the major road, thus slowing everyone down. Get in the f***ing shoulder and turn you asshole!!!! Because it's illegal? If it's a shoulder marked by a solid white line, it's illegal to drive in it. Shoulders are not driving lanes no matter how much of a rush you might be in or how impatient you might be with the "asshole" in front of you. No, they're assholes. You shouldn't be stopping up a 50 mph lane by making a right when there is a huge empty space next to you to turn from. You're a moron.

  17. QUOTE (The_Necromancer_77 @ Nov 22 2011, 05:32 PM) QUOTE (Bastille Dave @ Nov 22 2011, 02:46 PM) April Wine version of 21st Century Schizoid Man !! No really, I chose Working Man cuz it's Rush I like that version better than Crimson's... Blasphemy! April Wine's version sounds like shit
  18. QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ Nov 22 2011, 12:08 PM) QUOTE (H. P. L. @ Nov 22 2011, 08:54 AM) QUOTE (Tommy Sawyer @ Nov 22 2011, 02:52 PM) QUOTE (Weakly Criminal @ Nov 22 2011, 07:14 AM) QUOTE (H. P. L. @ Nov 22 2011, 04:20 AM) I wouldn't call it a solo on 21st century schizoid man. To me, it's always been more like a band jam. The drums are as important as the guitar. That's why my vote goes to Alex. This. Also, how can you compare what was true prog to pre-prog RUSH? It might as well have been Page playing the WM solo. If he had been so self absorbed. Come on, 21st Century is not [t]that[/i] much different than Working Man! 1. Big Riff! 2. Awesome two verses of screaming vocals 3. Killer 5 min solo 4. A few more vocals 5. Closing riff This is not that hard, people! King Crimson for the win! I suppose you DO realise that your "breaking down" easily fits almost any song recorded from the late 60s to the early 70s... Crossroads by Cream is the first that comes to my mind... not to mention the entire catalogue of most european symphonic metal bands... It's all about the feel for me: schizoid man is a jam for me, WM is a solo. Heck, even Crossroads is a solo in my book. There's too much interaction between guitar and rhythm section in schizoid man to "feel" like a solo. The beginning of Close to the Edge is a solo in your book? Interesting question... Just my 2 cents anyway... Meh. I guess 21st Century isn't exactly a 'solo'... But it is one heck of a breakdown! And really, those two songs are the only in their respective band's catalog to follow that specific outline, as far as I'm concerned, unless you count Pictures of a City, 21st Century's twin. One More Red Nightmare
