All I can think of now that i'm an adult is this video would be a trip if I was drunk or high watching it. I'm pretty sure that's what they were going for with it.
Mystic Slipperman
There's some real magic in the sound of the Heartbreakers between 1979 and 1982. I don't know what it is, but man, the band sounds magnificent.
Lorraine
Tom Petty, his guitar player, and 73's famous peanut butter cookie recipe saved my sanity the past few months. I owe Mike Campbell a huge "thank you."

Segue Myles
Petty is amazing. Springsteen is amazing. Both deserve to win but only one wrote Drive All Night. Springsteen. But lately it could go either way, and we all know I LOVE Springsteen.

ReRushed
Every weekend my wife and I run some errands in Freehold NJ. Every time we pass the house Springsteen grew up in and his high school I sing "My Hometown". It drives my wife crazy.

theredtamasrule
Tom Petty. Easy choice for me. Springsteen is one of those douchebags who takes himself waaaaaaay to seriously. Not a huge fan of either but Petty's early work is pretty good.
Lorraine
Can someone here tell me if there is any way I can download this Tom Petty tour video? http://www.mudcrutch.com/forum/index.php?/topic/15021-take-the-highway-live-full-1991-concert-transferred-from-the-laserdisc/
RUSHHEAD666
Who has the bigger appeal to you? For me it's The Boss by a thin margin. The Boss is a liberal douche but I will give him credit for his energized live performances. He can't sing worth a damn. All he does is shout. He's a bore in the studio. His best musician was Max Weinberg.

I love Tom Cochrane and have never even heard of Barney Bentall. But because I like to check out and support Canadian artists, I will definitely have a listen to some of his music. I'll check out Barney.

Rock 101 (CFMI FM) in Vancouver and other Canadian classic rock stations play the Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts song in rotation a lot. The group have been around for 30 years. However like Blue Rodeo and The Tragically Hip, Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts didn't crack the international market.
