  1. Forget that noise. The real story is Giuffria's 9 weeks on the charts, jumping up two spots from 5 to 3!

  2. We should do a buddy listen some time and share thoughts. I mean, we both remember that era well haha I'd never heard of GD until AI came out, and in the UK it was a milestone moment, like we worshipped them at that point too.

  3. To be fair to it. AI WAS a moment. i'd say in the US a cultural milestone. and remember GD at that point kinda fell off. popiularity had faded a bit. when rhey appeared again. we all went "i remember these guys!!!" Whether AI is perfect actually is up for debate but it's importance can't be forgotten. Mick

  4. AI is great but i feel like it's not perfect. the last 2 songs drag it down a bit IMO. Still top 5 though, Warning is fantastic and kinda doesn't get the praise it deserves. it has fans but not near enough. i'm the only FOA mark alive. i know it but i feel like people are the loons not me, lol. i think FOA is fan-fukking-tastic. 5. AI is a masterpiece. I went off it for years due to overexposure in the media, but when I revisited it I was blow away. 21CBD is equal for me. Warning has been my number at various stages as well. Dookie is fine, but I far prefer Insomniac and Nimrod.

  6. State Of Grace reminds me less of Jimmy and more of Joshua Tree era-U2, Killers and Kings Of Leon. But now you mention it, I could imagine it on Futures or Invented!

  8. KC averaged 7.7 yards per play, with 24 first downs and 5 third downs! That's pushing the football, homes. But next time, just give Pacheco the effin ball inside the five, would you, Andy? This cute end around shit to Mecole "Recycled" Hardman is just too much.

  9. Wind took that far right. He almost had to aim far left to compensate for the wind. Reminds me of my golf shots, except no wind factor. Interesting thought...kc vs detroit in super bowl. Start and end the season with the same teams. Naaaa...not gonna happen.

  12. It was still a fun ride. When they were 6-6, I said I'd be happy if they walked away with a 0.500 season. They more than exceeded expectations. Joe Brady is guaranteed the job of new offensive coordinator (if he doesn't go to Atlanta) and we got to send the Dolphins straight to the final circle of Hell last week. I had a lot of fun the last 6 games.

  13. For the record, I love A Passion Play. But D'Issaster even more.

  14. I started this thread because for some reason I get these guys' first names mixed up sometimes. I posted a comment the other day on one of Rick Beato's videos and it was only hours later that I realised I'd called him "Pete".

  16. Buffalo chicken ala Taylor Swift. Bland chicken thighs with no meat on the bone.

  17. I haven't heard it in ages. The Kinks had a nice revival with 1979's Low Budget, 1982's Destroyer (Paranoia), and 1983's Come Dancing & Don't Forget to Dance. 1985's Do It Again made it a six year run of success, which ain't too bad for a 60s band

  18. I just gave it a listen. I've heard the song before but it's been a long time. Good tune.

  22. We got Ray Finkle'd. Which ironically was inspired by the Bills in 91.

  23. We still did better than the Dolphins and the Cowboys. But now instead of 13 seconds, we gotta live with "Wide Right" again

  28. I don't see anyone beating Baltimore but SF looked pretty pedestrian yesterday. So I think Detroit has a fighting chance at least. They're playing with house money at this point so I'm good with win or lose. As a lifelong Michigan resident, I've had to put up with the island of misfit toys called the Lions for over 60 years. Forgive me if I'm a little over-enthusiastic.

  29. SF is pretty good, as is Baltimore. These playoff games seem perfunctory, tbh

  32. The SW Passion Play remix from 2014 contains all of the Chateau tracks on this release. The only extra tracks on this vinyl release (on the fourth side), are some mixes which were released elsewhere. But I guess if vinyl is your bag, it's worth getting.

  35. Wilson and Tull are perfect together. I had an out-of-body experience the first time listening to his 2014 remix of A Passion Play. Disc 2 includes some songs from Château D’herouville Sessions. Fantastic !

  36. Wilson's Aqualung remix is stellar (the only other Wilson remix I have is Chicago II, also stellar). I've not heard this album yet.

  37. Here it is so you don't have to waste your time searching for it. If you get to the dialogue between Mose & Houseman about Oscar Wilde referring to Mose's left leg as a poem and you're still not invested then ditch it. It's just not for you in that case. That's about half an hour in. Good luck!

  38. I agree that HYF was a disappointment. I also appreciate Hemispheres which I own on vinyl along with Permanent Waves. My other aim was to mark the stand-out instrument on the mentioned albums. Neither Hemispheres nor A Farewell to Kings stand out in that way to me.

  40. My day was made for 2 reasons. The first was when I read that the Pope guy announced that priests can now bless same sex couples in marriage, it's about time. The second part is because many far right people will be livid with his decision but since he supposedly has a direct line to the big man upstairs, he knows what he's doing.
