Lorraine
It's not that bad of an album. It has some good songs on it. Was going to listen to MP today and will give HYF a spin (well, I'm not going to really spin it - more like click on a link :)) too! :)

grasbo
Loved the album when it came out although it was just a wee bit of a step back from Power Windows. However of the synth 80s albums I think it has probably aged the worst along with their haircuts.By Tor and the Snowdog it ain't but at least I can put HYF on without the missus complaining.

Entre_Perpetuo
A good album, not exactly their high water mark, but it has some good songs on it. Yes I just stole three other people's posts. :P
thirteen
I remember the first time I heard the album, saying "You'd have to be a real sad sack of shit to enjoy this crap". Not long afterwards I heard Permanent Waves for the first time and fell in love with Rush. Eventually I grew to appreciate just how good an album HYF was. That One Guy
It's worthy of great criticism, but I used to be quite a big fan of this album Now I'm just more of a fan

EagleMoon
HYF is about as MOR as Rush ever got.
Fridge
It's the last "great" album for me...well crafted songwriting and some of Geddys' best bass work, particularly Turn the Page (how does he play that and sing at the same time?) However, it's interesting to note that even here the rot had started to set in with the last two songs being stinkers, but that's what the skip button is for.
