I had a dream about David Bowie the other night. I have no idea why I was dreaming about David Bowie. I didn't particularly ever like him all that much.

The night before that I had a dream about Eddie Van Halen who got mad at me because I asked him if he is Catholic.

That's all the random music news I have for now. :) :hi:

I have had Eddie dreams before (used to have Eddie and Valerie dreams - don't ask me why - I have no idea - liked VH but never a huge fan - the brain is strange - especially mine), but never about David Bowie. Have absolutely no idea how he sneaked himself in. He looked good too. He was wearing a suit and tie. :)

I don't think of myself as a fan of what many would call 'country rock'- as when you say that you're a fan of a certain type of music, often people think that you automatically adore any band who had even one 'hit' that falls under that umbrella...and that's definitely not the case, with me.

However...I have been listening to a fair bit of it lately.

This is perhaps compounded by the fact that anything I listen to other than Rush, lately, my 12 year-old son calls 'hillbilly music'...doesn't matter what it is, he'll make fun of me.

Oh well. :P

Man...this song hit me a certain way this morning.

Some of their material is pretty dark (Carry Me Away), and heavy (The Sky is a Poisonous Garden) and mostly always interesting. And she's a good lyricist, which helps! Why wasn't Happy Birthday a hit? They even made a pop video! Maybe the lyrics were too unhappy?

taking out the 's' and crossing my fingers...first video post.

Yeah, her lyrics are great. This is probably my favorite song by them:
