goose
9. Jeff Porcaro My 11 His drumming on "Silk Degrees" is one of the best pocket groove records in the world. His TOTO stuff is magic, It makes sense why Steven went after Simon to take over.Nothing like a guy that can lay down a perfect groove. I'll likely get mocked for saying this, but AC/DC's Phil Rudd was one of those guy's.
driventotheedge
No mention of Bill Ward? He sucked when he got old but man he was bad-assed on those original Sabbath albums (and live). What about Gene Krupa? He's a favorite of Neil's I do believe.
Syrinx
Gene Krupa is right up there! And going in a complete other direction but didn't make my top 10 Topper Headon...just because he was in The Clash

I love your Paul Craddick pick! As you know he is one of best friends! I actually bumped into him and his lovely family at CVS on Mother's Day! Paul is doing great. I asked him about another Rocket Moth album and he said he has ideas brewing inside his head! Grey, you do have the debut Rocket Moth cd right? Hannah on vocals. Paul did all the instruments. A brilliant record. I see there is a Joplin Nicks Poll on here. Hannah blows Stevie Nicks away. JMO

I've to grab that album asap, thank you mate.Have I told you that I've met the Enchant guys a few times? I saw them in a small club in Mannheim Germany, early nineties, they played in front of less than 50 people. Haha, that was a fukkin' brilliant gig. Jadis was the opening act. We were very early at the venue and the guy at the door let us in and Enchant were just about to do the soundcheck. What an unforgettable evening. On another occasion I've met them after opening for DT. We had a heavy drinking session at the bar, while DT were playing their Music in Progress show. Ed Platt was the beast back then. He ordered as if there were no tomorrow. :hail: Great times.
